Servo and LVDT feed back calibration in Mark VI control system With the procedure given below you

will be able to a. Learn how to calibrate the LVDT feed backs used in servo control b. Learn how to adjust servo null bias The main objective of the servo calibration is to ensure that the stroke of the valves listed in the control specifications match the stroke of the valves supplied .The maek VI control should be should be setup such that a reference of 0-100% matches the listed stroke of the valve in the control specification. You should follow the steps before attempting to calibrate the servo 1. Have a dial indicator you must have this to measure the stroke of the device 2. Fuel/steam supply should be cut off / vented and the system must be in safe mode. 3. The auxiliary oil pump and the auxiliary hydraulic oil pump should be running for the servo to operate. Place them in manual and ensure that they are not turned off. Take special care that the AOP does not turn off ; as the AHOP suction is taken from the lube oil header , loss of AOP means the AHOP will starve. Step 1 : forcing the required signals from the toolbox

Step 2 : Initiate the calibration from the Regulator

Step 3 : Verify the feedback signal

Step 4 : Measure the Bias and feed the bias into the toolbox

Step 5 : Verify the bias from actual valve stroke

Step 6 : Calibrate the valve stroke and perform the download
