SAP GUIs The SAP GUI family consists of: SAP GUI for Windows -- This GUI is described in detail here. SAP GUI for Java SAP GUI for HTML
Platforms SAP GUI for Windows provides support for the most common Microsoft Windows platforms: Windows 2000 Windows XP Windows 2003 Server Windows Vista Compatibility SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 is compatible with all SAP products based on SAP NetWeaver 2004s and all earlier releases of SAP software that are still supported by SAP. For SAP systems based on newer releases than SAP NetWeaver 2004s, you need at least SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 since SAP GUI for Windows 6.20 and 6.40 are not compatible with these systems.
Hardware and Software Requirements

You need to make sure in advance that your system meets the following requirements: Your personal computer might be having other applications which will be running along with SAP GUI. So, the below requirement is given on overall applications executing on your system. Your system must have broadband network connection for high throughput-
Hardware:

Windows XP/ 2003 server >1 GHz Minimum 1 GB (For BEx) Independent of the SAP GUI release IE 7.0
Software: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1 Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3 Microsoft Office 2003 patch KB 907417 SAP GUI 7.10, with the following components: SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 (Compilation 4) Tweak-GUI for SAP GUI 7.10 Business Explorer (SAP NetWeaver 2004s) SAP GUI 7.10 patch 18 BI Add-on patch 12.1 Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 Adobe Reader 9
Install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0

For Business Explorer (BEx) you need to install Microsoft .NET frameworkExecute dotnetfx3.exe Accept the term & condition and click "Install>" to start the installation-
Click Exit after installation complete.
SAP GUI and BEx Installation Process

This section provides information about the steps that you have to perform to install your SAP front end. In the SAP Marketplace the latest SAP GUI available is SAP GUI 720 but standard procedure follows N-1 strategy. So, this document explain the installation of SAP GUI 710Prerequisites You have completed Hardware and software requirement before you start the installation- Go to directory D:\NW_7.0_Presentation\PRES1\GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32\ Execute the SetupAll.exe
Click Next
To install Business Explorer (BEx) click on Business Explorer optionClick Next
Browse the directory where you want to install the SAP GUI in your system-
Click "Done" to complete installation.
SAP GUI Patch Application

Patching products on the installation server keeps them up-to-date with the most recent correction and enhancements from SAP. Unlike SAP GUI installation the SAP GUI patch is also available in the marketplace. The highest patch available in the SAP marketplace is 18. Patch Application of SAP GUI7.10 To install SAP GUI Patch, you have to download the relevant patch from SAP service marketplace- and execute the "gui710_18-10002995.exe"
Click Next
Click "Done" to complete installation.
Patch Application of Business ExplorerTo install SAP BEx Patch, you have to download the relevant patch from SAP service marketplace- and execute the bi710sp12p_1201-10004472.exe The Current patch level for BEx available in the marketplace is 12.1
Click Next-
Click done to complete the installationCheck the status of the applied patch from Query Designer-
Adding systems in the SAP GUI logon pad-
Click on New ItemClick Next-
The System will be added in your logon pad-
