LEARNING CAN BE FUN IN THE SUN: Keep kids minds active with fun learning this summer. (Courtesy photo) use to keep kids minds as sharp: n Turn a grocery store trip into a math lesson by having your child compare prices and tell you the best deal. n Change the classic road trip Are we there yet? question into a challenge by giving the vehicles speed and remaining trip distance, and having your child estimate your arrival time. n Enroll your child in a program that balances interesting and educational content with group play. For example, KinderCare Learning Centers created 12 uniquely themed camps like Scienteriffic and Wilderness 101 that offer a balanced approach to learning and fun. n Make meal and snack preparation a chance to practice reading (recipes) and working with fractions (have older children double or halve a recipe). n Develop a summer reading plan with your child. Make weekly trips to the library and help your child create a list of books to read based on their interests.
Parents can find more information about how to give their children a fun, educational summer at www.kindercare. com/camp. Learning doesnt have to be a solo activity. Have your child grab a friend or two and set them up for a summer of exploration. Come fall, they (and their parents and teachers) will thank you. Letting your child include their friends in their reading activities will make it seem less like school and more like fun!

Hi, my name is Bud and I was taken to the shelter on June 17th as a stray. I was picked up in the Pierson area and I hope somebody is looking for me. I am a very nice male Boxer mix. I weigh about 50 pounds and have a beautiful brindle coat. I am wearing a chain and they think I am about 2 years old. I have received my basic shots here at the shelter and unless I am claimed by my old owner, my adoption date is June 24th. Come and meet me and get to know me. ID# 11/06/34.

1. Higher Interest Rates- If you have a low credit score you will pay higher interest
rates on everything from car loans to home mortgages. That is assuming that you would qualify at all.
2. Employment Many companies will run a credit report on you before they will hire
you, especially banks, retail stores or anywhere else that involves cash transactions. These companies view someone with bad credit as being at a higher risk of theft or fraud.
3. Home & Auto Insurance Almost every insurance company will check your credit. You will be charged higher premiums if your credit is bad because they see you as more of a risk for insurance fraud.
