THE CARIBBEAN CENTRE FOR DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION (CARICAD) VACANCY Programme Services Coordinator Applications are invited from

suitably qualified locally-based persons for the role of Programme Services Coordinator based at CARICAD Bridgetown, Barbados. THE ORGANISATION The Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD) is an organization which was established by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to promote, strengthen and upgrade the managerial and system capabilities of Public Sector entities within Member states. The organization executes its mandate by undertaking technical assistance assignments and projects for client governments and public sector entities. The main thrust of the organization is the development of a modern, efficient and high performing Public Sector within the context of an emerging single market and economy. THE POSITION The position involves: Supporting and assisting the Executive Director by gathering, collating, researching and analyzing data, preparing reports, summaries and other documents; liaising with other organizations and member countries; taking of notes/minutes at meetings etc.; prioritizing/expediting matters, taking follow-up action and monitoring activities relating to decisions taken/finalized; drafting/editing of correspondence and reports; assisting the planning and organizing of the work schedule of the Executive Director. Managing the distribution of information and documentation for website uploading and storage. Providing logistical and administrative support to all programmes and projects undertaken by CARICAD in accordance with the agreed Standard Operating Procedures.

Communicating and ensuring implementation of directives from the Executive Director regarding human resource matters, work planning and scheduling of meetings and events. Administering human resource polices and serving as the link between management and employees by handling questions, administering contracts and helping resolve simple workrelated problems. Coordinating and executing the provision of services related to work permits, visas, licenses, diplomatic requirements and related services for employees Managing the office and the provision of office services - meeting and event planning, reception, telephone and mail services, stationery and office equipment, filing and office maintenance. Supervising clerical and ancillary staff

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS First Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management Studies, International Relations or related subject. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes.

EXPERIENCE At least five (5) years of working experience in operational support and supervisory functions in the public sector or in a programme support role in a regional or international organization. Knowledge of and experience in project management and the structures and bureaucracies of Public Administration. Knowledge of the principles involved in strategic planning, human resources management and coordination of people and resources.
