Abandoned Objects Detection The "Abandoned Object Detection" is a feature that allows a user to detect unattended objects at a location. This feature can be extremely effective in areas such as airports, transportation sectors such as train and bus terminals, stadiums, malls, hotel lobbies and office premises.This solution is able to detect an unattended object and send an alarm signal to the appropriate authority directly or to the control room. Head and Face Detection Video surveillance, in general would have scenes involving humans who need to be tracked to monitor their activities. One of the main concerns is to segregate a group of people into individuals and then monitor them separately. It can be used to classify objects as Humans. It also captures the faces so as to keep a signature and history of the people passed by for reference and future verification. Vehicle Parking Managment Nowadays parking spaces of cinema halls, nightclubs, bars, and restaurants are multi storied and are so big that it is out of scope for a person to monitor it. So now, what if the Parking lot is automated? This application aims for just that- Finding an empty slot in the parking area. So now a person who enters the parking knows the nearest available slot suited for his vehicle.Raise an alarm, if a vehicle is not parked in an appropriate manner. e.g.Parked in a wrong slot Parked such that it occupies more than the allocated space Two wheeler parked in place of a four wheeler Captures the image of every car including its number plate that enters the car park and store the images for a specified period

of time. Detecting and Counting People Public transport vehicles (bus, train, trams) have the system installed at the entrance. Thus it can always have the count of number of people inside at any given time.Shopping malls and retail shops.School, college, offices, factories where people frequently come in and go out.High security zones (banks, museum, and treasury) which are to be accessed by only selected group of people. Prisons to keep a count of the inmates. Multiple Camera Network In this scenario we have multiple cameras installed in the given environment. The images can be mapped across various cameras to provide a one shot view of the entire environment. Behavioral Analysis Application Behavioral analysis of objects is crucial for prediction of undesired events. Pre-defined suspicious behavior can be detected based on speed and pattern of movement. In case of human subjects, suspicious behavior like running/sudden running, loitering etc can be detected by ISP. Once detected, ISP alerts the concerned personnel who can now closely monitor the subject potentially averting cases of undesired events and crises. Some of the potential applications of behavioral analysis are listed below. Fence leaping into secured areas. Ex: In airport scenarios, a person has to go through the valid routes and if he tries to jump over the fence, it is detected. Door tail gating. Ex: A person with a valid access is entering a secured area. Another person without valid access tries to enter the secured area by moving very closely behind the person with valid access. Analysis of people movement and occupancy in various sections of the Retail stores to determine efficiency of promotional displays and improve sale effectiveness

Suspicious behavior in car parking areas. Ex: A person standing at different cars and different instants of time could be a potential offender. High Security Zone Surveillance This scenario of surveillance is used in highly secure areas as in Industries, Research Stations and in high security areas as in Museum, Banks. Here there is a constraint that only few people are allowed to visit these areas and that too not very frequently. These areas are surrounded by the surveillance cameras. In this scenario a person should be able to track any suspicious activities very fast without actually going through the whole captured video. For this purpose the system has to predefine some undesirable events and when any such event occurs in real time it has to tag the frames which contain some useful information about the nature of the event. Later when one wants to browse for any such event he can easy browse the video without actually going through the whole video. Hence a lot of time and effort is saved.
