OBJECTIVE In this assignment, you have to write, present and submit a Case Study report. following section describes the case study. A CASE STUDY Campusfood.com, Inc. is the USA's leading network of restaurants, providing innovative marketing to restaurant partners and offering online menus with interactive ordering for students and local communities. Through a virtual food court, Campusfood connects millions to a national base of over 2,500 restaurants at more than 300 of the top campuses across the country. Campusfood continues to grow each year, adding campuses and restaurants to their roster. Campusfood was established in 1997 when President Michael Saunders, then a student at University of Pennsylvania, decided there was an easier and more convenient way to order his tuna hoagie than over the phone. Students can now browse through menus and order food online with Campusfood without facing issues such as misplaced menus, busy signals, and order miscommunications any more. Campusfood is a privately held company headquartered in New York, NY 1. Explore www.campusfood.com and describe in detail the services provided by this company. You should elaborate on how the company operates, what services are available, how do students order and pay for their food, how do restaurant owners participate etc. Discuss the business model used by Campusfood. You should explain clearly how they make money. Why is the site so successful? Find additional articles such as newspaper clippings and online reviews and analyse the performance of this company in terms of its popularity and its market presence. Investigate if there are companies in Malaysia that are providing similar service. If there is, elaborates on the similarities and differences. If there is none, you need to discuss whether this business model can be successfully implemented in Malaysia. Why or why not? Based on your findings in (4), describe what you would do differently if you are to set up this kind of business in Malaysia? List and elaborate the critical success factor of this business model. Point 8 above is applicable only to F2F students. The OnLine students need to only email the softcopy version of their presentation slides to their respective OnLine tutor. 10. The report needs to be submitted to your respective facilitator in both versions (hardcopy and softcopy). This also applies to the OnLine students as well. 11. The report needs to comply with the following Report Writing Guidelines.

Use Arial 11-point font for the rest of your article. First level headings should be in bold upper case, and second level headings is in bold upper and lower case. Use endnotes instead of footnotes. Figures, maps, tables and other audio-visual aids are encouraged to be included in the report. Incorrect spelling and grammar are simply unexcusable and will be penalised. Margins should be left on both either side of the page - at least 3cm on the left hand side and at the top of the page. Pages should be numbered. The report should consist of the following: i) Title Page ii) Acknowledgements iii) Abstract (approximately 100 words) iv) Table of contents v) Main body vi) References should be written in American Psychological Association (APA) format. vii)Appendices (if necessary) 10. References should relate only to material cited within the report and be listed in alphabetical order, including the author's name, complete title of the cited work, title of the source, volume, issue, year of publication, and pages cited. 11. Citations in the text should include the author's name and year of publication where you use the source in the text.
