sip of bubbly doesnt make you feel tipsy. Try some herbal
tea and a fruit smoothie or some fresh fruit with plain yogurt,
followed by a big bowl of oat porridge.
At some point before everyone arrives, take some time out
for yourself by escaping for a quick walk, listening to some
uplifting music or meditating.
Sleep like a baby
One of the best health and beauty tips around is to get enough
sleep: having roughly the same amount of sleep every night
will make you feel less stressed as well as giving you a brighter
and clearer complexion on your big day.
Grace and poise Your gown is perfect, but hows your posture?
Practice the correct body alignment by imagining that you are
drawing a straight line through your weight-bearing joints:
ankles, knees, pelvis and shoulders. This is your bodys
central axis. Then turn your knees slightly outward to activate
the muscles that lift your arches, thinking of your legs as

Big-day beauty So how do you decide on a look thats right

If you want to look as beautiful as you feel when you walk
down the aisle, and do justice to all the work that has gone into
creating a dream wedding, you need to devote enough time to
your own health and well-being. Unfortunately, rushing around
in an attempt to get everything done can disrupt your normal
healthy diet and exercise regime, and the accompanying
stress and tension can deplete energy reserves and play
havoc with your skin and weight.
Its always best to get into the habit of eating sensibly and
exercising regularly a few months before your wedding. Dont
skip breakfast, take a healthy lunch to work, and have a cooked
supper of lean meat, fish or chicken with lots of veggies. Cut
right down on red meat, animal fats, wheat-based products,
sugar, processed foods and take outs, and limit your caffeine
and alcohol intake as far as possible.
Drink lots of water (tap is fine) and replace the odd cup of tea
and coffee with herbal or green tea. Get up and go! If youre
looking to boost your metabolism, shed unwanted kilos and
have loads of extra get up and go in the months leading up to
the wedding, try these simple tips:
Amazing graze Grazing on small meals through the day
instead of having three hearty meals (or junk food all day
followed by a huge evening meal), will keep your metabolism
stoked up. This is because your body has to work constantly
to process the food.
Keep it simple Ditch high maintenance, high intensity
workouts in favour of walking, whether outside, or on a treadmill
at the gym. Just 30 minutes a day is plenty. Moderately gentle
