Seminar is a course requirement, wherein under the guidance of a faculty advisor, a student is expected to do in depth study in a specialized area by carrying out a literature survey, understanding different aspects related to that area, preparing a status report based on the topic chosen. For a seminar course, a student is expected to learn investigation methodologies, study relevant research papers, correlate work of various authors/researchers critically, study the concepts, techniques & prevailing results, analyze those, prepare a seminar report on all these aspects. It is mandatory to give a seminar presentation before a panel constituted for this purpose. The grading is done on the basis of the depth of the work done, understanding of the problem, technical quality of the report prepared and presentation given by the student.
