National Remote Sensing Centre is executing a major national project entitled National Database for Emergency Management (NDEM) with multi-institutional participation. The project involves development of decision support tools and organization of multi-scale national database. Candidates with experience in Systems hardware & OS/LAN/ WAN/Network storage/ Backup/ Security/Middleware will be preferred. Knowledge & experience in databases, object oriented programming, GIS is added advantage. 2 Research Scientist Database 1 B.E./ Candidates with experience in Database (PB-3 Rs.15600- Administrator B.Tech(CSE/ design/Database administration 39100 +GP ECE) /Enterprise databases/Spatial databases/ Rs.5400/-) Database security will be preferred. Knowledge & experience in system, network & security administration, object oriented programming, GIS is added advantage. 3 Research Scientist GIS 1 B.E./ Candidates with experience in Desktop & (PB-3 Rs.15600- Administrator. B.Tech(CSE) Server GIS/ Geospatial database schema 39100 +GP design & Implementation/ GIS data Rs.5400/-) security will be preferred. Knowledge & experience in various GIS API programming, object oriented technologies, free/open source GIS products is added advantage. 4 Research Scientist GIS & 6 B.E./ Candidates with experience in Software (PB-3 Rs.15600- Software B.Tech(CSE) development using OO languages / 39100 +GP Engineer for J2EE/MS.Net/GIS database design/ClientRs.5400/-) DSS server & web architectures will be Development preferred. Age Limit: 35 years as on 29.07.2011. (40 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 38 years for OBC candidates). Ex-serviceman and Persons with Disabilities are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India orders. For PWD persons, orders on reservation to the extent applicable will be extended for the above posts. Pay & Allowances: Selected candidates will be offered the fellowship as Research Scientist in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100/- with grade pay of Rs.5400/-. The gross emoluments in the minimum of pay band will at present be approximately Rs.31,710/-. In addition HRA at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid. Selection Process: The qualifications prescribed in this advertisement are the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible to be called for interview. Based on the experience and details of marks furnished by the applicants, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview. General Conditions: The Number of posts notified are provisional and may vary depending upon actual requirement. NRSC/ISRO reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the posts, if it so decides. These Research Scientist positions are purely on temporary basis for a maximum period of three years for the Project duration. It may be noted that the Research Scientists positions do not carry any claim whatsoever for regular appointments in NRSC/ISRO/DOS. Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of details furnished in their applications alongwith a set of attested xerox copies at the time of interview. In case any information furnished in the application is found to be wrong or false, the candidate will not be interviewed. The selected candidates may likely be posted in NRSC, Hyderabad/Shadnagar, Mahaboobnagar Dist. Andhra Pradesh.
