Prospective candidates who wish to appear for the CWE will have to apply to IBPS and should carefully read the advertisement regarding eligibility criteria, online registration process, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters and score cards. Candidates who appear for the CWE will be able to check their status after the examination. Scorecards will be issued to candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks and above in each test of the examination. Each participating Public Sector Bank will independently issue a separate recruitment notification, specifying their vacancies and stipulating the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, experience (if any), minimum required level of IBPS score in each component test plus Total Weighted Score (if any) etc. Successful candidates in the CWE who have been issued scorecards and who meet the stipulated eligibility criteria are then required to apply to any of the participating banks they wish to, quoting their personal details and their CWE scores. Each bank will then individually shortlist candidates and carry out their own selection processes such as Group Discussions and/ or Interviews etc. for final selection. B. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (as on 01.07.2011) Please note that the eligibility criteria specified is the basic criteria for applying to various Public Sector Banks. However merely applying for CWE/ appearing for the examination does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be eligible for employment in all or any of the 19 Public Sector Banks as each Bank will stipulate its own eligibility/ qualifying criteria. However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Ex-Servicemen in Central Government jobs. DEFINITION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES : Under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995 only such persons would be eligible for reservation who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability and are certified by a Medical Board appointed by the Central/State Govt. Accordingly, candidates with the following disabilities are eligible to apply. Applicants claiming such benefits should produce certificate in original in support of their claim at the time of Interview conducted by a particular Bank, if called by the Bank Visually Impaired (VI) Blindness refers to condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions namely (1) Total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending in angle of 20 degrees or worse. Low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive connection but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning of execution of a task with appropriate assistive device.

Deaf & Hearing Impaired (HI) The deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is nonfunctional for ordinary purposes of life i.e. total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear, understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Orthopaedically Challenged (OC) Locomotor Disability means disability of bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development. All the cases of Orthopaedically Challenged Persons would be covered under the category of Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy. Guidelines for Persons With Disabilities using a Scribe The visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use their own scribe at their cost during the written examination. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply: The candidate will have to arrange his own scribe at his/her own cost. The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower than the stipulated criteria. The scribe should posses lesser marks than the candidates and not more than 60% marks in his/her own academic stream. The scribe may be from any academic stream. Both the candidates as well as scribes will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above. Further in case it later transpires that he/she did not fulfill any laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the written examination. Such candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination. C. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (as on 01.07.2011) A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. D. The Descriptive Papers of only those candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the objective tests will be evaluated.Other detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in an Information Handout, on IBPS website which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the call letter. E. PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS :There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Test. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If the total of the penalty for a test is in fraction, the marks obtained will be rounded off to the nearest integer, i.e. if fraction exceeds by 0.50 or more, it will be rounded off to next higher integer. If for any question a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as wrong even if one of the given answers happens to be right and there will be the same penalty of 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question deducted as penalty. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question. F. STANDARDIZED SCORES : The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates will further be converted into standardized scores following Linear Conversion Method. G. CUT OFF SCORE :Each candidate will have to secure a minimum standardized score in each of the tests to qualify in the written examination and to be considered for vacancies in the participating banks. The cut-off points will be decided based on the average (Average Standard Deviation for General category candidates and Average Standard Deviation for Reserved Category candidates). H. CWE SCORE CARD : IBPS will print the Score Cards for each of the qualifying candidates and will send the same by Registered/ Speed post to each candidate at the correspondence address specified in his/ her online application. I. VALIDITY OF CWE SCORE CARD : Score Cards issued by IBPS will be valid for one year from the date of issue of the Score Card. Candidates can appear in subsequent examination(s) to enhance their scores if they so desire. J. EXAMINATION CENTERS : (i) The written examination will be conducted in venues across many centres in India. The list of Written Examination centres is available in Annexure I. 6 (ii) IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. (iii) As far as possible candidates will be allotted to a centre of his/ her choice however IBPS also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any of the Centre other than the one he/she has opted for. Annexure II Guidelines for scanning and Upload of Photograph & Signature Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature as per the specifications given below. Photograph Image: - Photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture. - Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background. - Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face - If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows - If you have to use flash, ensure theres no red-eye - If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen. - Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face. - Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) - Size of file should be between 20kb50 kb - Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours etc., during the process of scanning. Signature Image: - The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen. - The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person. - The signature will be used to put on the Hall Ticket and wherever necessary. - If the Applicants signature on the answer script, at the time of the examination, does not match the signature on the Hall Ticket, the applicant will be disqualified. - Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred) - Size of file should be between 10kb 20kb - Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb Scanning the photograph & signature: - Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch) - Set Color to True Color - File Size as specified above - Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/ signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above). - The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is : image01.jpg or image01.jpeg Image dimensions can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon. - Candidates using MS Windows/MSOffice can easily obtain photo and signature in .jpeg format not exceeding 50kb & 20kb respectively by using MS Paint or MSOffice Picture Manager. Scanned photograph and signature in any format can be saved in .jpg format by using Save As option in the File menu and size can be reduced below 50 kb (photograph) & 20 kb(signature) by using crop and then resize option (Please see point (i) & (ii) above for the pixel size) in the Image menu. The medium of the written examination will be 'English' only. The question paper shall be of Two and half hours duration of 125 marks consisting of 100 questions of objective type (multiple choice questions) of the respective discipline with four options of answers and 25 questions of 'General awareness' with specific reference to Rajasthan State with four options of answers. There shall be no negative marking. Minimum passing marks for male candidates of UR category shall be 35% marks. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/BC/SBC (Non creamy-layer)/PH and for all female candidates, it will be 25% marks. 6. Preparation of Merit: A common Merit list of all the successful candidates, in each discipline of Engineering Degree/AMIE shall be prepared for all companies as follows:- A. 80% weightage shall be given to the marks secured by the candidates in the written competitive examination i.e. percentage of total marks obtained in written competitive examination multiplied by 0.8 and the quotient so arrived shall be the examination marks. METHOD OF SELECTION: (a) All applications as per format given are to be forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC Entry) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/Gp HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to HQ DG NCC. (b) Thorough screening/ Shortlisting of applications based on qualifications of the candidates will be carried out by the NCC Directorates and HQ DG NCC. (c) Candidates not in receipt of call letter from any of the Selection Centres for SSB interview should presume that either their applications have been received after due date or have been found ineligible or rejected during short- listing. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Candidates after shortlisting will be detailed for SSB interview by Additional Directorate General of Recruiting. The decision of Headquarter DG NCC-and Addl. Dte Gen Rtg in Army HQ, in the matter of Shortlisting and forwarding of applications to SSBs will be final (d) On arrival at the Selection Centre the candidates will be administered stage-I of the two stage testing procedure. Candidates failing in stage-l will be Sent back on the same day and those who qualify will be detained to undergo Group Tests. Psychological Tests and Interview which will extend for a duration of 5 days, (e) Candidates recommended by SSBs will be required to go through Medical Exam. Candidates who are found medically fit will be placed in order of merit as per the marks obtained in SSB interview amongst the recommended candidates. Boarding and lodging during interviews at SSBs are free. Recommendation by SSB confers no right of admission to the Officers Training Academy. The final selection will be made as per the order of merit subject to medical fitness and suitability in all other respects and number of vacancies available. 5. MEDICAL EXAMINATION: Candidates recommended by the Service Selection Board will undergo medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Women candidates recommended by Service Selection Board will undergo medical examination by a medical board of male/female doctors/ Specialists/Gynaeocologist. However, there will be a Lady Medical Officer as member the Medical Board for female candidates. Only those candidates will be admitted to the Academy who are declared fit by the Special Medical Board, However, the candidates declared unfit will be intimated by the President of the Special Medical Board and procedure for request for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) will also be intimated to the candidates. Candidates who are unfit may apply for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) to be completed within 42 days of SMB and may request for Review Medical Board .(RMB) within 1 day of completion of Appeal Medical Board. Candidates for AMB shall automatically report to the hospital opted by them on any working day, keeping in view the time taken by postal authorities to deliver their Medical documents at the Hospital for medical examination. No. call shall be given by the opted hospital and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. Candidates are advised in their own interest to appear for AMB well in time and should not wait for the last date given by the SMB. Candidates are advised to note that Recruiting Directorate has no role to play in Appeal Medical Boards; the procedure advised by medical authorities is strictly to be adhered to. The candidates will also be intimated that Review Medical Board (RMB) will be granted at the discretion of DGAFMS based on the merits of the case and that RMB is not a matter of right. Candidates will only be considered medically fit, on receipt of the approved medical board proceedings from concerned medical authorities in Addl Dte Gen Rtg. 6. In their own interest the candidates are advised to undergo a preliminary medical check-up for wax in ears, refractory error of eyes and fungal infection of skin before reporting for the SSB interview. 7. ENTITLEMENT FOR TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE : Candidates appearing for SSB interviews for the first time for the same entry shall be entitled for second class Sleeper to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation -Cum-Sleeper Charges within the Indian Limits. 8. PHYSICAL STANDARD: Candidates meeting height/weight and visual standard as per existing regulations will only be accepted. (a) Relaxation in Height: The minimum acceptable height is -157.5 cms. For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North Eastern region af India, Garhwal and Kumanon, the minimum acceptable height will be 5 cms less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.(b) VISUAL STANDARDS: (i) The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant Vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse eye 6/18, myopia of not more than minus 3.50 for men and 5.50 for womens including astigmatism. (ii) Candidates who have under-gone or have the evidence of having undergone Radial Keratotomy to improve the visual acuity, will be permanently rejected; also candidates aged 20 years or above who have undergone Laser Surgery for correction of refractive error will be considered for commission in Army If they fulfill following criteria :-(i) Uncomplicated stable LASIK/Excimer (PRK) laser procedure done for. Myopia or Hypermetropia, with stable refraction for a period of six months after the procedure(ii) A healthy retina (iii) Corrected vision should be 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye, with maximum residual refraction of : 1.50 in any meridian for myopia or hypermetropia. (iv) Axial length within permissible limits. 9. Physcial Fitness Standards OTA: Prospective candidates are advised to exercise and keep themselves physically fit, in order to avoid any injury due to the rigorous physical training at Officers Training Academy. In order to be able to adjust to the regime there, candidates are advised to achieve following standard before joining the OTA, if finally selected:- (a) Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes, (b) Push Ups-13 Nos. (c) Sit Ups-25 Nos. (d) Chin Ups 6 Nos. (e) Rope Climbing 3-4 Meters. 10. Training : Approximately 11 months training at OTA, Chennai, On successful completionof which Candidates will be granted commission in the rank of Lt. The final allocation of Arms/ Services will be made prior to passing out of Gentleman Cadets/Lady Cadets from OTA. 11. Terms and Conditions pf Service : (a) Period of Probation: An officer will be on probation for a period of 6 months from the date he/she receives his commission. 1. Indian Air Force invites applications from unmarried male Indian citizens (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test in November 2011 to join as Airmen in Group X (Technical) trades. THE SELECTION TEST IS NOT FOR SELECTION AS OFFICERS/ PILOTS/NAVIGATORS. ELIGIBILITY 2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (a) Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 with pass marks in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in overall aggregate. OR (b) Should have passed a 03 years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks from a Government recognised Polytechnic Institute. Note: Exact aggregate percentage of marks upto first place of decimal for all subjects as mentioned in the Marks Sheet of Intermediate/10+2/equivalent/ Diploma (For example, 49.9% should NOT be rounded off to 50%). 3.President, Central Airmen Selection Board reserves the right to shortlist the applications on the basis of available vacancies and number of eligible applicants. 4. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain, (b) Visual Standards for Group X (Technical) trades are as follows:ance, Composite Personal Maintenance allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration allowance (LRA), Fly/ PJI allowance, Family planning allowance, House Rent allowance (HRA) etc. are also admissible to airmen. 10. Perquisites. Perks such as Ration, Clothing, Medical facilities, Accommodation, CSD Canteen facilities, Education concession to children, Recreational facilities, Free transport for school going children and Leave Travel Concession(LTC) are also provided as per the existing rules. Post retirement benefits include pension, gratuity and leave encashment. Not withstanding the above,Group Insurance Cover of Rs.25,00,000/- at a premium of Rs.1,730/- per month, is covered for all airmen and "facility of Group Housing Scheme is also extended. Other facilities by Air Force Wives Welfare Association(AFWWA) are also extended for family of airmen. 11.Post Retirement Benefits. Pension, Medical Insurance Cover, Leave Encashment, Gratuity and Canteen facilities comprise some of the post retirement benefits. Specialised pre-release courses are also arranged to enable airmen to take up post retirement careers. In addition, airmen also get relaxation in age and reservation in Government services as Ex-servicemen. 12. Promotion. Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Warrant Officer (MWO). Opportunities to become a Commissioned Officer also exist for those airmen who qualify the prescribed examinations, later during their service career. SELECTION PROCEDURE : 13. Written Test. Eligible candidates will be sent Admit Cards to appear for the test scheduled to be held during November 2011 at the examination centres listed at paragraph 19. Candidates will be tested in English, Physics and Mathematics as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE. Question papers will be objective type and bilingual (English & Hindi),except English Paper. Duration of Written Test will be 60 minutes. CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY. Results of the written test will be declared on the same day. 14. Physical Fitness Test (PFT). All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same or the next day. PPT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes. Candidates completing the, PFT in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds will be awarded additional marks on a sliding, scale. Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts. 15. Interview. Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be interviewed. Working knowledge of English is a prerequisite. 16. Trade Allocation Test (TAT). Candidates of Group 'X' (Technical) trades who qualify in interview are to undergo Trade Allocation Test for bifurcation into Mechanical and Electronics system. Specific trade allotment within these streams will be carried out at Basic Training Institute (BTI), Air Force (Belgaum). 17. MEDICAL EXAMINATION. Candidates who qualify in the interview will be medically examined. Medical Examination will be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per Indian Air Force medical standards. Note: Candidates are advised to get tartar and stains removed from their teeth before appearing for the Written Test Ears should be free of wax. GENERAL : 18. (a) Candidates must indicate three choices of the examination centre in order of preference. However, Central Airmen Selection Board reserves the right to allot any centre other than those mentioned in the application, (b) REQUESTS FOR CHANGE OF EXAMINATION CENTRE OR DATE OF SELECTION TEST WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED, (c) Candidates not reporting for the test on due date and time will not be accommodated on other dates/shifts, (d) Incomplete applications will be rejected, (e) Candidates should be prepared to stay for the entire duration of the tests under their own arrangement.
