Autonomous Robot Navigation Using Mobile Phone

Introduction:
A Robot is a virtual or mechanical artificial agent. In practice, it is usually an electromechanical machine which is guided by computer or electronic programming, and is thus able to do tasks on its own. Another common characteristic is that by its appearance or movements, a robot often conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own. A mobile phone is an electronic device used for full duplex two-way radio

telecommunications over a cellular network ofbase stations known as cell sites. Mobile phones differ from cordless telephones, which only offer telephone service within limited range through a single base station attached to a fixed land line, for example within a home or an office. A mobile phone allows its user to make and receive telephone calls to and from the public telephone network which includes other mobiles and fixed-line phones across the world. It does this by connecting to a cellular network owned by a mobile network operator. We have lifted a mobile phone from these conventional procedures and incorporated a new feature that changes the entire idea about mobile phones. Here we have made it possible to control a Robot using a mobile phone with Bluetooth connection.

EXISTING SYSTEM:
In the current scenario there does not exist a system by using which it is possible to control a robot using a normal mobile phone. The only available system is a hi-tech Remote device.

PROPOSED SYSTEM:
The ultimate goal of our project is to transmit information from a mobile, through Bluetooth, to control the mobility of a robot on wheels. The communication between objects Bluetooth, the control of the robot's servomotors, an algorithm communicating data to a computer communication port, and the programming and understanding of micro controllers. The problem or idea that we are trying to solve is the control of a robot using a java supported mobile. . The idea lies on the principle of mobile autopilot by accomplishing autonomous behaviour of the robot. In the proposed system there will be a Bluetooth device on the robot that will cause the robot to act according to the instructions passed by the user through the mobile phone.
