Proposal Abstract
What is the problem to be studied? What are the research questions / hypotheses? Who will conduct the study? Where the study will be conducted? On whom the study will be conducted? When the study will be conducted? How the study will be conducted? What are the expected implications? What resources are required?

DESIGNING A RESEARCH PROPOSAL QUESTIONS :

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. What is the ideal time for literature review? Give an outline under which research proposal is designed? Is it necessary to document analysis plan in the protocol? What research question need to be answered while justifying a research proposal? What logistics need to be look into before under taking a research proposal?

DESIGNING A RESEARCH PROPOSAL

Designing a research proposal involves proper planning. It is very essential that the study design adopted should aptly suit the study. While designing the materials and methods, special emphasis should be given while defining the cases, controls and variables. The protocol should be carefully design living no room for ambiguity. Tests if any, and equipment should be clearly described. If necessary a pilot study should be under taken to test the study design, the proforma and the methods to be employed for the propose study. Finally the design should be such that it should be easily replicable by another researcher any were in the world. The results derived from the study should also pass scientific scrutiny and we acceptable when presented at a scientific congress or in a publication.

The steps mentioned below should be kept in mind while designing a scientific proposal
Step 1 PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION It is preferable for the departments who have some topics ready from which the investigator can choose. The logistic of such topics should already have been studied.

Step 2

COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF LITERATURE - Will help to

Step 3

Be specific in defining a problem Justify the research proposal Define the research question / hypothesis

CHOOSE AN APROPRIATE STUDY DESIGN -Work on the logistics of

Step 4
Step 5 Step 6

Participants Equipments Expertise Time

MATERIAL AND METHODS - Design the proforma
