Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc // Russian River Valley, California 2010 11 22 The aroma is floral and mouthwatering, layered with ripe melon, peach and subtle mineral highlights. In the mouth, it is rich and seamlessly well balanced, kicking in a hint of grapefruit, cirrus and pear on the lingering finish. Pahlmeyer Chardonnay // Sonoma Coast, California 2007 16 32 Tight and concentrated, with a dense, rich, chewy beam of dried currant, mineral, graphite, black cherry and blackberry fruit that's intense and full-blown, both flexing its muscle while displaying deft balance. Ends with a compact, layered finish. 93 WS.

RED Chateau Reignac, Bordeaux Superieur // France 2005 9 18 Notes of graphite, black currant, some sweet cherries, and spice box. It is a medium to full-bodied wine with beautiful concentration, decent acidity, and ripe tannin. Despite its humble appellation, this is a very serious wine that is qualitatively up there with some of the better classified growths of the Medoc.75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. 90 WA.
