First of all, the writer would like to thank Allah SWT, who always gives her
the power in doing this skripsi from beginning up to end, because only Allah who
always gives her strength and mercy in her life. She also does much prayer for the last
prophet Muhammad SAW that has brought us to the way of truth in our life.
Finishing this skripsi is not easy, the writer needs much effort and thinking
so, the skripsi that is done; will finish on time and give advantages to mny people.
She considered that there is nothing perfect in the world, includes this skripsi. But
she hopes that this skripsi will be useful and give new knowledge for the people who
read it.
In doing this skripsi, there are many people that are meritorious so that the
writer can finish her skripsi well. The writer would like to express her earnest
gratitude to Prof. Dr. Agus Wardhono, M.Pd the advisor, for his valuable
encouragement, suggestion, and correction in this accomplishment of this work. Then
gratefulness is also conveyed to the headmaster of SMP Negeri 3 Plumpang, and the
English teacher who have helped the writer in doing the researcher and getting the
data.

Key Words
In English there are four language skills that must be mastered by the learners,
if they want to acquire English language well. They are listening, speaking, reading,
and writing. Writing is one of the four language skills is considered difficulty by the
students. Therefore, the teacher has to find a way of teaching that makes the students
interested and guides them to express their idea in writing. This research is aim to
know the students ability in writing and to find out the students difficulty in
arranging conversation based on the context of situation offered by teacher.
The subject of the study in this research is the eight years students of SMP
Negeri 3 Plumpang. From the population the total number of the sample is 42
students. Writing test and questionnaire are instruments of this research.
Questionnaire is to know what the students like and opinion in arranging
conversation based on the context of situation offered by teacher. Writing test is used
to know the students ability in arranging conversation based on the context of
situation offered by teacher, and to find out the students difficulties.
Based on the students score, it is acquired the mean of the total score is 77.
So, it can be concluded that the students ability is good. The result of the error
analysis shows that the students difficulties in writing are grammar, vocabulary, and
punctuation. From the questionnaire, it is known that the students are.
