Fajr

(Recommended things after fajr)


ZIKAR
(min. 100 times each)

LA ILAHA IL LAL LAHU MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH

It refreshes and revitalizes our Imaan, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam) said: "Keep on
refreshing your Faith by reciting Kalimah frequently."

Hazrat Abu Hurairah R. A. reports: "The person who recites this eighty times on Friday after Asr
Namaaz, before standing up from his place, eighty years of his sins forgiven by Allah, and eighty
years of worship be written for him.

Note: This Daurood can be recited any time. But reciting Friday after Asr has special reward.

It was narrated from Abu Yasaar (RA) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Whoever says
Astaghfir Allaah al-‘Azeem alladhi laa ilaaha illa huwa al-hayyu al-
qayyoom wa atoobu ilayhi
(I ask forgiveness of Allaah the Almighty, besides Whom there is no god, the Ever-Living, the Eternal, and I
repent to Him), will be forgiven even if his sin is fleeing from the battlefield [a major sin].” Narrated by al-
Tirmidhi, 3577; Abu Dawood, 1517.

Quran
• Surah Yaseen
• Atleast one juz of Quran, those who have memorized Surahs should recite all such Surahs. (if they are
unable to make recitation ); whenever opportunity affords.

Ishraaq Salaat
Perform two or four raka’ts Ishraaq Salaat. In another narration of Tirmidhi, Rasulullah is reported to have
said, 'He who performs Fajr Salat with Jamaat and remains seated in the same place while engaging in Dhikr until
after sunrise and thereafter performs 2 Rakaats Nafil Salat, (Ishraaq), he will obtain the Thawaab of one Hajj and
one Umrah.' (Tirmidhi).

Note: Ishraaq salaat time starts 10-15 after sunrise.

Chaasht Salaat

Immediately after Ishraaq or a bit later perform two, four or six raka’ts of Chaasht. Also know as Dhuhaa
salaat.

It is reported that Sayyidna Aaisha (Radhiallaahu Anha) used to perform 8 Rakaats of Salat al-Dhuhaa. She said
that even if her parents arose from the grave, she would not leave Salat al-Dhuhaa to go and meet them. (Ibid).
Rasulullah is reported to have said, 'Whoever offers 2 Rakaats of Salat al-Dhuhaa, all his sins will be forgiven
even though they are as much as the foam of the sea.' (Ibid)

Naptime: Get some sleep.


Quran: Recitation of one or two juz of Quran before Zuhr Salaat. Whatever opportunity affords.

Zuhr
(Recommended things after zuhr)

Salah: Make all sunnah & nifl of Zuhr. And or any qaza salah.
Quran: Recitation of one or two juz of Quran before Zuhr Salaat. Whatever opportunity affords.
Naptime: Get some rest.

Asr
(Recommended things after asr)

Quran: Recite some part of Quran. Whatever opportunity affords.


ZIKAR: Repeat after fajr zikr mentioned above or any othe zikr.

Power of Dua at the time of Iftaa: Once Prophet Moosa / Moses (peace be upon him) asked
Almighty Allah (SWT): O Allah! You have granted me the honor and privilege of talking to you directly, Have you
given this privilege to any other person? Almighty Allah (SWT) replied, O Moosa / Musa / Moses during the last
period I am going to send an Ummat / Ummah (Community or Nation), who will be the Ummat / Ummah
(Community or Nation) of Muhammad (SAW) with dry lips, parched tongues, emaciated body with eyes sunken
deep into their sockets, with livers dry and stomachs suffering the pangs of hunger - will call out to me (in dua) they
will be much much closer to me than you O Moosa / Moses! While you speak to me there are 70000 veils between
you and me but at the time of iftaar there will not be a single veil between me and the fasting Ummati of
Muhammad (SAW). O Moosa / Moses I have taken upon myself the responsibility that at the time of iftaar I will
never refuse the dua of a fasting person!

Magrib
(Recommended things after magrib)

Salah: Make all sunnah & nifl of magrib.


Salaatul Awwaabeen:

This Nafil prayer is read after the Farz (Fard) and Sunnat of Maghrib. It consists of a minimum of 6 Raka-ats and
this Nafil prayer procures many benedictions (blessings) and mercy.

Hadrat Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Rasoolallah said: The person who offers 6 Raka'ah Nafl after the
Maghrib Salah, and does not speak evil in between receives rewards equal to 12 years of worship. {Tirmidhi,
Mishkat, Tarteeb Shareef pg. 169}

Dinner: Have your meal.


Quran: If time permits recite Surah Waqiah.
• The Prophet said, ‘Whoever recites surah al Waqiah at night would never encounter poverty’ [Ibn Sunni
620]
• The Prophet said, ‘Surah al Waqiah is the Surah of Wealth, so recite it and teach it to your children’[Ibn
Asakir]

Isha
(Recommended things after isha)
Salah: Make taraweeh and all sunnah & nifl of isha.
Quran: Recite Surah Mulk and Surah Alif Laam Meem Sajdah.
• The Prophet said, ‘There is a surah in the Qur’an which is only thirty verses. It defended whoevere\recited
it , until it puts him into paradise ‘ i.e.Surah al Mulk[Fath al Qadir 5/257, Sahihul Jamiea 1/680, Tabrani
inAl-Awsat & Ibn Mardawaith]
• The Prophet said, ‘Surah al Mulk is the protector from the torment of the grave ‘[Sahihul Jamiea 1/680,
Hakim 2/498 & Nasai]
• Narrated from Jaabir, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) never used to sleep
until he had recited Alif-laam-meem tanzeel [surah al-Sajdah] and Tabaarak alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk [Surah
al-Mulk].

Tahajjud: The Nafils of Tahajjud are read after the Isha prayer..

• Our beloved Prophet Muhammad has said: In Paradise there is a castle reserved for those who read
Tahajjud and the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) further adds, those who pray at night will enter
paradise without having to account for their acts in this life. The prayer consists of a minimum of 2 Raka-
ats, and a maximum of 8 or 12 Raka-ats (to be read according ones capacity).
• Rasulullah said, "At night there is such a moment in which a Muslim supplicates Allah Ta'ala for the
good of this world or the Hereafter, Allah Ta'ala will grant him his request, and this moment appears every
night." [Muslim]

Muhaasabah: i.e. to take stock of one’s deeds: At the time of going to bed reflect about your deeds. When
recalling a righteous act, be thankful (make shukr), and when recalling a sinful act, be regretful. Remind your nafs
of the rebuke and punishment of Allah Ta’ala for sins and pledge not to approach sin in the future. During the day
recall this pledge.

Constant Zikr
(While reclining, sitting, walking, etc., always recite)

LA ILAHA IL LAL LAHU MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH

After every Salaat recite Aayatul Kursi and Tasbeeh Faatimah, i.e. recite in Arabic ‫ن اﷲ‬
َ ‫ﺳﺒْﺤَﺎ‬
ُ 33 times;
‫ﺤﻤْ ُﺪ اﷲ‬
َ ْ‫ َاﻟ‬33 times and ‫ اَﷲ َاآْ َﺒ ُﺮ‬34 times. If time allows, recite the following Tasbeeh a hundred times after
Zuhr, Maghrib and Ishaa:

‫ﷲ َو اَﷲ َاآْ َﺒ ُﺮ‬


ُ ‫ﺤﻤْ ُﺪ اﷲ َو ﻵ ِا َﻟ َﻪ ِا ﱠﻻ ا‬
َ ْ‫ن اﷲ َو َاﻟ‬
َ ‫ﺳﺒْﺤَﺎ‬
ُ

Double & triple the amount of Ibaadah you are doing during Itikaaf. Sleep less & worship more, pray as much
as you can & make a lot of duaa.

Sisters and brothers! Let us get ready to make this Ramadan different than all the previous Ramadans.
