Page & Palette Hosts Jeriel Ngs The Syndicate On April 2nd, 2011, from 2 4 P.M.

., Fairhopes Page & Palette will be hosting the author signing of Jeriel Ngs debut novel, The Syndicate. As a fresh author at the age of fifteen, Ng describes his biography: The fifteen-year-old author Jeriel Ng originated from the country of Singapore, having spent the first nine years of his life there. At the age of ten, he moved to England with a stay of approximately five months before moving to the United States in 2005. At an early age, Jeriel Ng had already begun developing an interest in writing. Thus, he began to spend his time over the years focusing on several different projects, most of which being casual, leisurely works. In November 2009, he began focusing on his first serious project, a dark fantasy novel entitled Storm of Ire: Callous Cruelty. Later on in the same month of 2010, Jeriel Ng began to work on his new project, The Syndicate. A more profound and philosophical work, this new project started to shift into Jeriel's main focus, as he proceeded to use the idea for his contribution to the 2010 edition of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Satisfied with the underlying themes and principles that emerged in this novel, Jeriel Ng desired to take it to the next level. After putting the finishing touches on this novel, he finally released it in the spring of 2011 as his first self-published novel. As described in the novels synopsis: As human beings, we all have the natural tendency to assume our actions are right, but that is not necessarily always the case. We all tend to act before thinking. Like most, Damien Knox finds himself in situations he must deem either moral or immoral. What makes Damiens situation even more demanding are the two forces that drive his decisions: his peers in the Syndicate and the Bastion, revolutionary factions under the new ruling of Chancellor Hagan. Collectively, each member of both groups must work alongside each other to take down the corrupted usurper. A large revolution soon breaks out, but tensions increase and conflicts erupt between the Syndicate and the Bastion as they continue to stand up for their beliefs. Whether they can or cannot co-exist together to put down a common enemy is their own decision. And ultimately, it determines their own fate. Will they succeed, or will the city of New Valley fall victim to the new administration of Hagan?
