New Course started (MM)


V. M. Patel College of Management Studies started new course B.B.A + MBA Dual Degree five years integrated program in Marketing Management from June 2010, with the intake of 60 seats. The B.B.A + MBA Dual Degree five years integrated program in Marketing Management is designed to enable students to acquire a range of professional, interpersonal and organizational skills both within and beyond the workplace. Students will also acquire underpinning skills and knowledge related to functional areas in the market through study of this course, students will gain experience that can be applied in a range of contexts, including business, work and will also assist students in making informed career choices.

Parents Meeting
Parents Meeting 2010-11 of VMPCMS was organized on 22 June 2010, keeping the tradition of introducing parents of new students to the campus. More than 600 parents attended the meeting. Prof. P. I. Patel, Director of Ganpat University, in his speech, advised students to understand the demands of growing market develop the capabilities accordingly and grip job opportunities in Multinational Companies. He has advised students that there is no shortcut to success so work hard and preserve your moral values. Dr.K.M. Chudasama Principal of the college welcomed all the parents to the campus and introduced them to various opportunities available for the students in the campus for the carrier development. He has suggested parents as well as students that attendance, interaction and participation in extra curriculum activities are as important as exam.

Industrial visit

V. M. Patel College of Management Studies, Ganpat University, Kherva had organized Industrial Visit for FYBBA Students. Faculty Members Mr. Kiran Patel, Mr. Vishal Acharya, coordinated these visits. Students visited Banas Dairy at Palanpur, Regent Granito Tiles at Himmatnagar and Amul Dairy in Anand.

Industrial Tour

organized Industrial Tour at Bhuj and Gandhidham during 10-12 February, 2011 for TY BBA and BBA FS Sem VI students. 158 students participated in it, and visited reputed companies like Parle Products Ltd., Bhuj, Meso Cosmetic Pvt. Ltd., Gandhidham and Kandla Port, Kandla .This Industrial Tour was coordinated by Faculty members Mr. Kiran Patel. Mr. Vishal Acharya. Mr. Kamal Vyas and Mr. Bhargav Patel also supported coordinators to make this tour successful.

Zankaar Festival

V. M. Patel College of Management Studies, had organized Zankaar Festival of Garba on 20 October 2010. The event was organized in open air theatre on Ganpat University campus. Prof. Shri P. I. Patel, Director, Mehsana District Education Foundation Ganpat University, inaugurated this cultural the event. During Students the and event faculties students jointly performed traditional as well as modern Garba in evening. organized this event. Mrs. Kinvanti Patel and Kamal Vyas coordinated the event successfully.

NSS Camp
NSS special camp held by NSS UNIT, V.M. Patel College of Management Studies during 15th December to 21st December 2010 at Akhaj village. The NSS Unit organized various activities like Medical Check Up, Agricultural Guidance, Career Guidance, Women Employment Seminars, Plantation Programs and other developmental activities in the village during the special camp. 50 NSS cadets had participated in the camp. NSS camp was inaugurated by Prof. P. I. Patel, Ganpat Director Mehsana and Education Dr. K.M. Foundation, Chudsama, University

Principal, BBA College. During the camp, NSS cadets organized various activities under the guidance of Mr. Vipul B. Patel and Mr. Dharmesh Thakar, Programme Officer, NNS unit BBA College. Mr. Yupal Shukla, Mr. Bhargav Patel, Dr. Usha Kaushik and other BBA faculty members actively participated in making camp successful.

Youth Festival

Second Youth Festival of Ganpat University was organized on 11-12 January, 2011. All constituent institutes and colleges of Ganpat University participated in the events like Rangoli, Painting, Light Vocal Solo song, Classical Vocal Solo song, Group Song, Elocution, Mime, Mimicry, One Act Play, and Folk Dance, Skit and Classical Dance. In the second Youth Festival V. M. Patel College of Management studies has secured first rank and proved as a champion by wining overall nine prizes out of eleven.

Adventure at Marine Camp

V. M. Patel College of Management Studies had also participated in the Marine Camp, during 4-5 which was conducted at Sundarvan, Dunni Point, Beyt Dwarka February 2011 in which 51 students and Mr.Yupal participated actively with the co-operation of faculty members Mr. Dharmesh Gadhvi Shukla.

V-Star:- Industrial Tour


V-Star had organized Industrial Tour during 23-27 July, 2010 for V-Star students of TY BBA and BBA FS Sem V. During this tour students visited reputed companies like Birla Copper Unit of Hidalco Industries Ltd. and Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited.During this visit students did socio-economic survey in three villages of Vagara District : Luvara, Lakhigram and Ambhetha.

This Industrial Tour was coordinated by Faculty members Mr.Kundan Patel. Mr. Maulik Prajapati . Advisor Faculty Members V STAR ( VMPCMS Student and Teachers Alliance for Research ) .

V-Epic: Expert Talk

English Proficiency Improvement Cell had organized an expert talk on Saturday 12th March, 2011 On Personality Development. Dr. Premnath Mishra Head of the Department of English, M. J Science College Patan had delivered his lecture on Personality Development and Attitude Building of a students. 75 students had participated. Event was organized by English Proficiency improvement Cell (Epic group) coordinators Dr. Usha Kaushik and Mr. Yupal Shukla.

syNERGy-2011
V. M. Patel College of Management Studies, Ganpat University, Kherva had organized its 15th Annual function on 29th March, 2011. Formal function of Synergy started at 11am. Patron of the Function, Hon Vice Chancellor Dr. L. N. Patel Sir, advised students about developing sense of responsibility to create opportunity. He has also emphasized that along with regular academic curriculum extra curriculum is also very important for overall development. On this occasion chief guest of the function Shri K. N. Chhabariya Deputy General Manager of IFFCO Unit Kalol, addressed students about the meaning and importance of Synergy. Synergy is the ability to work in a team with energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude to achieve target that is growth and development of an organization. He highlighted the significance of the concept of synergy in management in todays global business scenario.

Special guest Prof. P. I. Patel Director Mehsana District Education Foundation talked about the nurturing good character. Special guest Dr. Mahendra Sharma expressed his views about significance of attitude building and self confidence. On this occasion Dr. K. M. Chudasma Principal, V. M. Patel College of Management Studies, shared the academic development of the college in the academic year 2010-11. The achievement awards for Academics, Sports, NSS and Special achievement were distributed by the guests to motivate the students. This event was co-ordinated by faculty members Dr. Usha Kaushik and Mr. Dharmesh Gadhavi. Various Cultural Programs were held like Dance, Drama, Mime,Fashion Show, Singing etc., in which students participated actively. The Indo-Western theme of the cultural day has made event interesting and successful with the Coordination of faculty members Mrs. Frena Patel and Mr. Yupal Shukla .

sTudENTs AChiEVEMENT

Students of V. M. patel College of Management Studies participate in many other activities organized by various Institutes and won several prizes Milan Kapoor and Parth Shah from TYBBA participated in Wisdom 2011 organized by Department of Management Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University have secured first and second rank respectively in presentation competition Students of V. M. Patel College of Management Studies have also participated in Manthan,which was Organized by AMPICC, Ganpat University Kherva in which Parth Shah from TYBBA secured second prize in Project Presentation. Jenil Patel from Sem I has secured second prize in Cracking Interview. Jayesh Desai from Sem I secured third prize in Group Discussion

Campus Placement

Kotak Securities visited the College for campus recruitment . 50 students from TYBBA appeared in an Interview process, out of which 20 students have been selected. Entire process was handled by Sr. faculty member Mr. Haresh Oza.
