INTRODUCTION TO NDTV: NDTV , founded in 1988, is a Delhi-based private television company in India. It was founded by Prannoy Roy, an eminent journalist and current chairman and director of NDTV Group. NDTV currently has more than 1,000 employees producing news from over twenty locations in India. NDTV is an acronym for the original name of the company, Nehru Dynasty Television. NDTV is among India's top broadcasters and has 23 offices and studios across the country. Its three national news channels are NDTV 24x7, NDTV India (Hindi) and NDTV Profit (Business news) form the core of the company. Each year the channel also gives the NDTV Indian of the year awards. Beyond the NEWS : The company has gone beyond news with the introduction of a lifestyle channel called NDTV Good Times catering to the urban India. Leveraging its broadcasting and programming excellence, NDTV has also set-up NDTV Convergence, NGEN and NDTV Labs.

NDTV Good Times: The flagship channel of NDTV Lifestyle, NDTV Good Times quickly became Indias topranked English-language lifestyle television channel rapidly drawing in its target audience of socially upbeat, well travelled, cosmopolitan viewers who live in style, adore fashion, are adventurous about food and travel and want more out every moment in life with both back packing and high flying budgets. Judged as the Best Fashion & Lifestyle Channel at the ITA(Indian Television Academy) Awards for the last two consecutive years, NDTV Good Times is beamed directly across international markets such as US, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Maldives. NDTV Convergence: The digital media business controls all NDTV websites including the news website www.ndtv.com and the mobile news alert service and the full service mobile portal which is NDTV Active. ndtv.com crossed the 100 million page view mark in December, 2009. NGEN: It is a media process outsourcing business, formed as a 50-50 joint venture with Genpact. The company utilizes highly skilled local expertise to provide costefficient outsourcing of media services such as logging, editing and graphics. NDTV Labs: It leverages NDTV expertise in media technologies to market and license software products and services. It has acquired a global reputation for excellence,

mainly for its understanding and augmentation of broadcast environs.
