В Английском языке существуют местоимения ,
которые указывают на некоторое количество того или
иного .Я выделяю следующие из них:
some,any,much,many,a few,a little , a lot of.
Теперь о каждом по порядку и более подробно
SOME и ANY указывают на небольшое количество
вещества и могут иметь Русский перевод “немного”
или “несколько. Употребляются они как с
исчисляемыми , так и с неисчисляемыми
существительными в единственном и множественном
числе.
SOME употребляем в утвердительных предложениях
 I’ve got some questions to you
 Give me some juice , please
И в запросах
 Won’t you have some cake?
 Can I have some more tea?
ANY употребляем в вопросительных и в
отрицательных предложениях
 Have you got any spare time?
 I didn’t see any brand new film last week
MUCH или “много” употребляется с неисчисляемыми
существительными ( с теми ,которые не можем
посчитать)
 Much work/time/attention
MANY или “много” употребляется только с
исчисляемыми существительными ( которые можно
посчитать)
 Many problems/questions/tasks/tests/windows
A FEW или “несколько” употребляем с исчисляемыми
существительными
 A few problems/questions/tasks/tests/windows
A LITTLE или “ несколько “с неисчисляемыми
существительными
 There is a little time left
Хочу указать так же некоторые эквиваленты
much/many.Это:
A LOT OF ,LOTS OF , PLENTY OF (их мы употребляем
как с исчисляемыми ,так и с неисчисляемыми), A
GOOD DEAL OF , A GREAT DEAL OF ( употребляем
только с неисчисляемыми)

 Lots of friends will be able to come to the rescue / I
think
 He pays a great deal of attention to his process of

Much, many, a lot of: что и когда употреблять?

Существует всего 4 правила, которые важно


запомнить, чтобы правильно использовать “many”,
“much” и “a lot” в разговорах или текстах на
английском.

#1 Когда используем “many”


Первое главное правило - разница между “much”,
“many” в том, что в английском языке “many” мы
употребляем только с исчисляемыми
существительными (то есть с теми, которые мы
можем посчитать). 
Исчисляемые существительные могут употребляться
как в единственном, так и в множественном числе:

 a car - 40 cars
 a window - windows
 a dog - dogs.
Например, мы можем сказать “many trees”, “many
houses”.  
#2 Когда используем “much”

“Much” используй только с неисчисляемыми


существительными в единственном числе (их
невозможно посчитать). 
Обычно к ним относятся: 
 жидкости и еда (coffee, juice, bread, cheese), 
 материалы (silver, wood), 
 предметы изучения (geography, literature), 
 болезни (flu, cancer), 
 спорт (hockey, volleyball), 
 абстрактные вещи (love, friendship),
 погода (rain, snow).
Например, говорим: “much water”, “much happiness”.
#3 Когда используем “a lot of”

Следующее правило - “a lot of” можно употреблять в


обоих случаях: и с исчисляемыми существительными
и с неисчисляемыми. Здесь важно запомнить, что “a
lot of” используют чаще всего в разговорной
английской речи в утвердительных предложениях. 
Также при неформальном общении можно
использовать сокращенную форму “lots of”.

Например, можно сказать: “He’s bought a lot


of flowers for her” или “ He’s bought lots of flowers for
her”.

Правила употребления some, any, no


Перед тем как рассмотреть случаи употребления some, any, no, давайте
узнаем перевод этих слов.

 Some – какой-то, некоторый, сколько-то, несколько.


 Any переводится таким же образом, а также может переводиться
как «любой».
 No – никакой, нисколько.

Важно помнить, что существительное лучше не оставлять без


сопровождения местоимения или артикля. А теперь – к правилам
употребления some, any, no в английском языке.

1. Местоимение some используют в утвердительных предложениях.


Но и в вопросительных предложениях его можно встретить, если
речь идет о просьбе или предложении сделать что-то для кого-то.

There is some portrait on the wall. – На стене висит какой-то


портрет.

The boys broke some windows in the house. – Мальчики разбили


несколько окон в доме.
Would you like some beer? – Хочешь немного пива? (предложение)
Give me, please, some juice. – Дай мне, пожалуйста, немного
сока. (просьба)

Обратите внимание, что со словами в единственном


числе some переводится как «какой-то» (some boy – какой-то
мальчик), с теми же существительными во множественном числе –
«несколько» (some people – несколько людей), а вот с
неисчисляемыми существительными – «немного» (some sugar –
немного сахара).

2. Местоимение any используется в вопросительных и отрицательных


предложениях вместо some и означает «какой-либо, сколько-
нибудь, никакой».

Do you speak any foreign languages? – Ты говоришь на каких-нибудь


иностранных языках?

Did the manager take any decision? – Менеджер принял какое-либо


решение?
I did not find any mistakes. – Я не нашел никаких ошибок.

Если any стоит в утвердительном предложении, то его переводят


как «любой», «всякий», «какой угодно».

Any vegetable is useful for your health. – Любой овощ полезен для
твоего здоровья.
Any girl wants to get married. – Всякая девушка хочет выйти замуж.
You can catch any of these buses. – Ты можешь сесть на любой из
этих автобусов.

Местоимение no в качестве определения употребляется со всеми


типами существительных как в единственном, так и во множественном
числе. Оно выражает отсутствие чего-то и используется лишь в
отрицательных предложениях.

John has no furniture in his flat. – У Джона нет никакой мебели в


квартире.

Fortunately there are no cars in this area. – К счастью, в этом районе нет
никаких машин.

Обратите внимание на разницу между not и no. Not мы используем для


глагола, а no – перед существительным:

I have no telephone at home. = I have not got a telephone at home. – У


меня дома нет телефона.
There are no pupils in the classroom.

“How many” вживається разом з обчислювальними
іменниками, а “how much” – з необчислювальними.
Обчислювальні іменники – це об’єкти, які можна
порахувати та назвати точну кількість: apples, cars, dogs,
spoons.
До необчислювальних іменників відносяться:

socializing, football, tennis, poker
