osh.0 is a show that will make you laugh and then say what?! The incredibly silly and shocking comedian and host Daniel Tosh takes watching Internet videos to the next level. He delivers non-stop, on-point, side-splitting commentary about each video without breaking a sweat. Talent like his doesnt come around every day.

love to use Youtube.com as a workout coach. Instead of buying hundreds of workout videos I like to search for whatever Im into that day, cardio, yoga, core, anything you can think of. I have been doing 20 min abs for a while now, and I have never had to pay a penny. Try it. Youll love it!

y favorite TV show is SportsCenter [on ESPN] because it tells me how my teams are doing. It also gives me tips on sports. The show tells people about baseball, basketball, football, hockey, golf, bowling, boxing, soccer and poker! I also love the top ten plays.

y favorite TV show is The Amazing Race. It is so entertaining to see teams of people from all different walks of life being challenged to give their all places all over the world and actually learn about the culture in the places the teams visit. The show is never boring and is well worth the hour you invest.

like Fantasy 411 on MLB. I am an avid Fantasy Baseball participant and when I first saw this show on MLB I thought these guys were pale-faced losers, but now I watch it religiously to get the best tips on hot/slumping players and the best bets on starting pitchers the next day. Their Web blog [Fantasy411.mlblogs.com] is also a good followup cheat sheet to the show too. Invaluable.

ne of my favorite websites is FuzzyYellowBalls.com. The name sounds ridiculous, but it is an excellent website providing great tips and techniques for improving your game of tennis. The website gives you advice on equipment and strategies. It is a must-see for any tennis fan or player. There are even step-by-step videos for mastering some of the most difficult techniques. It is a great resource for a tennis player like myself.

After being catapulted into superstardom with hits like The Hangover and NBCs Community, KeN JeoNg proves its worth it to take a leap of faith.
o hear the biting sarcasm of Seor Chang, the sassy Spanish teacher on NBCs hit Community, youd assume that Ken Jeong had always been the class clown. Not the case at all. Upon graduating medical school, Jeong was a practicing internist, embracing the responsibility of his profession, while setting his comedic aspirations aside. I never believed laughter is the best

medicine, he says. You take away the science and the biggest tool is compassion. I never wanted to get self-absorbed in my own comedy. The doctor whos a musician wont take out someones appendix playing the trombone. Another needed tool for a doctor is being a good listener. For years, Jeong seemed better at hearing his patients needs rather than his own. >>>

By eric Butterman

INSIDE KEN JEONGS COMMUNITY:

Chevy Chase has that sense of timing he will throw away a line and deadpan and you say, Thats Caddyshack! or Thats Fletch! Im sitting beside him at a reading and I cant believe Im with him. He doesnt hog that ball eitherthis is a different phase in his career and he made that transition so well. Ensemble comedies are team sportsyou need to know your role.

The cast of Community includes (left to right) Jeong, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Joel McHale, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, and Chevy Chase.

Classic cinematic wide master shots. There are great two-shots on this show hes like a jazz player just shooting off incredible notes. He makes every episode like a movie because of absolute detail.

We do hang out. Half the cast went to Mardi Gras. We were in the Quarter on Bourbon Street and there were people recognizing all of us. Even some policemen came up. Danny Pudi was having a great time with all of it.

Weve got minority character actors but its not being jammed down your throat ... A TV show this diverse, thats really rare.

Ken talks about stripping down and The Hangover II.

Community, NBC, Thursdays this fall

I always wanted to perform but just denied that part of myself, he admits. I think I wanted to please my parents and also do what I thought I was supposed to. Standup comedy started off as just an outlet. But that outlet blossomed, thanks in large part to his wife Tran Ho, also a doctor. She encouraged me to pursue this full time and I couldnt have done it without her he says. We have two kids and a full life she could have easily said its just too much of a long shot. But she was always different. She was the only doctor I ever met that truly got me. She loved comedy clubsshe even introduced me to Freaks and Geeks! Stage time paid dividends when he began appearing on BET and was also named The Funniest Doctor in America. And, Jeong actually took the same philosophy to improving at comedy as he did at being a doctor. I always said with patient cases that Ill learn something to help me do better the next time, he shares. I have the same attitude with comedy. I had one line in Step Brothers after being there for three hours. One line. But I took it as an opportunity to learn from John Reilly and you cant replace that kind of experience. Then, he reached new comedic heights with Judd Apatows Knocked Up. Playing a gynecologist who has the bedside manner of an angry alarm clock, it revealed Jeongs rare gift of timing, one hes had many chances to utilize on Community. I have so many turns at bat with this character, speaking of Seor Chang. Hes possibly the most complex character Ive ever played. Showing up to work every day to mesh with the talents of The Soups Joel McHale and Chevy Chase has helped Jeong go further with the role, particularly admiring how they improvise so naturally. Observational learning and improvisation arent the only

things Jeong brings to the tabletheres something to be said about what he leaves behind. Getting almost naked to slip into a crawl space for Community and after baring it all in The Hangover, Jeong feels comfortable in his skin and assures hes always willing to go the extra mile. He deadpans, Ill do it, if its artistic. As his popularity ascends, its surprising that hes still so willing to do whatever the role requires. But you look at this generation of male comedians and its clear that vanity doesnt always rank high on the list. Consider Will Ferrell, another not so shy in his nudity, or Jeongs idol, who had his chest hair yanked off for our delirious laughter in The 40-YearOld Virgin. Steve Carell just seemed to do it the right way, he says. He took in the experience of The Office and continued to grow with it. He just seems so grounded and the kind of person who sees things as half full. That he balanced his family life, too thats something to learn from.

Jeong (as Seor Chang) and co-star Joel McHale (as Jeff) shoot a scene for Community.

Jeong says this almost as a reminder to himself, knowing his four-year-old twin daughters Alexa and Zooey have to share their funny daddy with the rest of the world. And as his career may require even more of his wife, a breast cancer survivor, someone who moved Jeong to tears at the MTV Movie Awards as he declared her cancer free. Jeong knows he has to strike while the irons hot, but his goal is to never forget those who helped light the fire. Im given this artistic license to explore myself and have this safe place, he says. I was a full-time doctor just a few years agoI had a completely different life and I think it helped Its hard to take something for granted when you have to wait for it.

The Conspirator Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it, director Robert Redford would seem to be saying with this well-acted but plodding reenactment of the trial of Mary Surratt, (spoiler alert) the first woman to be executed in the United States. Surratt met her fate on the gallows alongside three men who were convicted in the conspiracy to assassinate Abraham Lincoln. It was in Surratts boarding house that John Wilkes Booth and company, which included Surratts fugitive son, hatched the plot. They were tried, not in a civil court, but in a rush-to-judgment military tribunal at the behest of war secretary Edwin Stanton (Kevin Kline). Any parallels between this story and the treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay may not be a coincidence. Robin Wright is superb as the martyr Mary, but she is a supporting player in her own story. The focus is on her attorney (James McAvoy), a Civil War hero (for the Union side) who is increasingly conflicted in his duty. The fine ensemble includes Tom Wilkinson, Colm Meaney, Danny Huston, and Evan Rachel Wood as Marys daughter. Rated PG-13. Jane Eyre The Jane Austen parody Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was a surprise bestselling book, but did you know that the 1943 Val Lewton classic, I Walked with a Zombie, was actually inspired by Jane Eyre? There are no zombies stumbling across the moors here, but neither is this latest adaptation a stuffy or musty affair. In a tour-de-force performance, Mia Wasikowska follows up her Alice in the colorful Tim Burton fantasy with another classic literary heroine. But Thornfield Hall, where plain, self-reliant Jane has arrived to serve as a governess, is no Wonderland. Isolated, gloomy and haunted (not all family skeletons are in the closet), Janes new circumstance is still better than her upbringing under her cold aunt Mrs. Reed (Sally Hawkins, anything but Happy-Go-Lucky) and cruel headmaster Mr. Brocklehurst (Simon McBurney). More of a puzzle is Rochester (Michael Fassbender), Thornfield Halls brooding and enigmatic master, with whom Jane falls in love. This ravishing films flashback structure is a departure from the book but it makes Janes story all the more compelling, providing a compelling added measure of mystery to her tale of woe. Rated PG-13. The Perfect Game Director William Dear hits a solid double with this uplifting true story of the underdog Mexican Little League team who inspired two nations. Clifton Collins Jr. heads a solid lineup as Cesar, who returns to his native Monterrey, Mexico, after his major league career is cut short. A restrained Cheech Marin costars as the priest who encourages Cesar to coach a rag-tag team of impoverished baseball-loving children. Quality live-action family friends are at a premium, and while The Perfect Game isnt quite, it ultimately wins viewers over much as the real-life team did fans when they progressed through the 1957 Little League World Series. Dear covers all the bases with predictable obstacles, setbacks and personal dramas. But the film, to quote the immortal tune in Damn Yankees, has miles and miles of heart, and as did Remember the Titans, it has worthwhile teachable moments regarding the bigotry the team faced and how the boys overcame it. The roster includes tween faves Moises Arias (Hannah Montana), Jake T. Austin (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Ryan Ochoa (iCarly) as the endearing children who steal Cesars heart. Emilie de Ravin (Lost), David Koechner (Anchorman), and Oscar-winner Lou Gossett, Jr. round out the lineup in this inspiring story. Rated PG. Soul Surfer This film is an uplifting true story of competitive surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm to a shark, but was determined to compete again. It sounds like a Lifetime movie, but Soul Surfer is carried on the waves of a thoughtful script and a superb cast, including Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt as Bethanys parents, Craig T. Nelson as her doctor, Carrie Underwood as her church youth group leader, and an appealing Anna Sophia Robb as Bethany, a 13-year-old of uncommon faith and grit whose story garnered frenzied (and unwanted) media attention. Soul Surfer is no 127 Hours, but the shark attack is harrowing and may be strong stuff for young viewers. But the rest of the film conveys a powerful message of faith and determination that is inspirational, especially in later scenes when a down-hearted Bethany gets a reality check as she accompanies her youth group on a humanitarian visit to post-tsunami Thailand. Normal is overrated, her mother tells her at one low point. But movies like this are not. Rated PG.

WITH MORE THAN 200 MILLION BOOKS IN PRINT and more than 1,600 titles, For Dummies is the most widely recognized and highly regarded reference series in the world. Now, the trusted how-to brand is online at Dummies.com, where proven experts present even the most complex subjects in plain Englishwritten and in videosacross 18 categories from business to leisure. Inspired by the ever-increasing popularity of fantasy sports leagues, we put Dummies.com authorities to the test by tackling the subject of how to start a fantasy football league. Does it mean were super-fans? No. Does it mean we like super fun? Yes! Thats the beauty of fantasy football. You can get in the game, so to speak, without being a hardcore fan, or having allegiance to a specific team. All it takes is a group of friends, paying attention to player statistics and perhaps anteing up a little entry fee cash for prize money payouts. Payout or not, having fun is the motivation for the estimated 50 million people who play fantasy football worldwide. Taking a cue from its popularity, television networks are catering to the fantasy leaguers. FOX and ESPN have online leagues and also scroll stats on-screen during the seasons games. In 2009, the NFL Network launched the RedZonea detailed combination of game broadcasts and real-time fantasy league stats, drafts, and standings. Why all the hype? Fantasy football is addictive! You find yourself cheering for individual players, not just teams, making the season just that much more exciting. Its also a great way to spend time with friends (and maybe even pocket a little cash), not to mention that its really easy to start your own league. Dummies.com walked us through it with expert input from NFL Hall-of-Famer Howie Long, and veteran FOX NFL Sunday editorial consultant John Czarnecki, among others.

We were blown away by the sites concise written instructions for league start-up! Complete a total of four steps, plus perform a little due diligence clearly outlined as tips and reminders, and youre in a league all your own.

2.

Name your league and have each owner name their team.

4. Agree on an entry fee.

Fantasy league draft, just like the NFLs, is a big day. Also like the NFL, fantasy owners gather in a central place and choose players for their teams. To maximize statistics and player availability, John Czarnecki suggests having your draft on the weekend before the NFLs regular season opener.

You started the league, so you get to name it. Be as creative or as mainstream as youd like. Same goes for the owners, who name their respective teams. Dummies.com authority Martin Signore suggests staying away from taunting names. Trash talk is frowned upon in any fantasy football leagueso much so that the leagues commissioner can ban you from play. Speaking of the commish, your league needs to appoint one ASAP to help create your leagues specific rules and, later, arbitrate any disputes that might arise.

This detail is also decided by the leagues owner. The fee can be set at any amount, and is used throughout the season as prize money.

In addition to entry fee numbers, there are the all-important statsthe lifeblood of fantasy football. According to Dummies.com experts, there are three primary ways to acquire this data: Hire a stats service to do the job (recommended for your initial season, unless youre familiar with the process). Buy software to download NFL stats from the Internet for computerized tracking. Calculate the stats yourself using traditional meanspen, paper, and the sports page.

A Jaw-some Summer Adventure

Shark Week has turned into a summer highlight for my family. Its entertaining AND we all learn something.

Its time to get out of the water to enjoy some educational TV and creative partying as Discoverys Shark Week gets underway.
are for a cupcake topped with blue frosting and a jelly shark? Thats the sort of fun food that fans have dreamed up as they celebrate Discovery Channels Shark Week. This marks the 24th year that Discovery has cut through the summer heat with splashy programs showcasing one of the most powerful creatures on Earth. Last years event attracted more viewers than ever before, almost 31 million, according to the network. Sharkrelated comments hit the top 10 topics list on Twitter for several days during Shark Week. Many people find it to be a terrific excuse to throw a party. Theyve not only dreamed up those shark cupcakes, but also nautical costumes and Jaw-pardy gamesJeopardy with shark-themed facts. Why is it that were so fascinated by these creatures of the deep? Sharks have been around for millions of years, so they are the ultimate adaptor and survivor of evolution, says Dave Canterbury, an Army-trained scout and hunter. He and his co-host, the primitive skills expert Cody Lundin, swam with about 100 sharks for their new special How Sharks Hunt. (The pair also cohost Discoverys regular series, Dual Survival.) Lundin was in for a surprise when he encountered about 30 reef sharks. The production team threw out a block of frozen fish heads to attract them, but the sharks could have cared less about Lundin. I didnt get any nips, although I got bumped around a few times, he says. I was impressed, because after the movie Jaws, we all freaked out. But they were just after the free food. Other kinds of sharks can be chilling, but thats what makes Shark Week so hot. I think were in awe of anything with great power, says Lundin. When youre in the water with sharks, you realize youre not at the top of the food chain.

Celebrity to watCh:

Mekhi Phifer
Torchwood: Miracle Day, Starz Watch: Fridays, 10 /9 pm C
Mekhi Phifers acting career began with a robust outing as the lead in Spike Lees edgy urban drama Clockers (1995). Raised in Harlem, he had no acting experience at the timebut his star began to really shine only after he joined the ranks of NBCs ER in 2002. The combination of his good looks and the believability he infused in the characters he took onfrom 8 Mile to TVs Lie To Mewas no doubt a selling point for the producers of the BBC smash Torchwood, who craved a Starz collaboration. The result finds Phifer morphing into steely CIA operative Rex Matheson in this new series, which begins on a day when nobody in the world dies. That curious anomaly continuespeople age, get hurt, but no death. Phifers Rex has an accident and should be dead, which, according to Phifer, drives him to find out what the hell is going on in the world; makes him question life and what hes been brought up to think. Although he says he wouldnt necessarily call Rex arrogant, hes certainly set in his ways. Fortunately, Phifer is in good company. Lauren Ambrose co- stars and Bill Pullman plays a convicted child killer. Original Torchwood notables John Barrowman (Capt. Jack Harkness) and Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper) are also on the roster. But Phifer has plenty going on behind the scenes, which we found intriguing. Several years ago, he joined forces with other creatives to launch two production companies: Facilitator Films and Facilitator Music. The groups premier endeavor turned out to be Phifers directorial debut, Puff, Puff, Pass. He then went on to executive produce the film hit This Christmas, starring Regina King and Loretta Devine. Whats up ahead for this fierce talent? Theres plenty of Torchwood to keep him occupied for a while, but look for Phifer in the upcoming crime drama Flypaper. The cast of Torchwood
