CIRCULAR TO ALL BRANCHES / OFFICES

SELECTION OF MARKETING STAFF

Please refer to Branch Circular No.98/17 dated 22.04.2004, inviting the applications for selection of Marketing Staff from eligible clerical staff members and Officers in Scale I, II and III, wherein the importance of marketing function has been dwelt with at length in a service oriented organization like Bank. In order to strengthen and reinforce the marketing function in the Bank, it has now been decided to invite the applications from eligible staff members of the Bank having flair for marketing function. The details of the Scheme/eligibility and other related particulars are as follows:ELIGIBILITY: Officers in Scale I, II and III, and all confirmed clerical staff members satisfying the following criteria are eligible for selection:I. II. Have necessary aptitude with persuasive communication skills; Possess/willingness to quickly acquire knowledge about Banks products; Willing to work for flexi hours; Preferably own a vehicle;

The maximum age shall be preferably 55 years which may be relaxed in case of staff member having exceptional flair for marketing; Knowledge of local language would be an added qualification; He/she should be a computer literate with minimum skills to send / receive e-mail communication, browse internet etc. AMFI qualified staff /staff having passed test of SPECIFIED PERSON- Staff members with AMFI qualification for sale of mutual fund products and IRDA qualification for sale of Life Insurance products AS SPECIFIED PERSON shall be given preference for selection unless they are not preferred in view of the parameters such as age above 55 years etc. ..2..

:2: ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY The duty of Marketing Staff is to market all Banks retail products (loans and deposits), third party products (cross selling of Insurance and Mutual Fund products under tie-up arrangements), Card products (India Card, Debitcum-ATM cards and Merchant Establishment business), Demat, On-line Share Trading, Gold Coins, SME, IT enabled products, Government Business/ Securities and any other products that Bank may launch or market in future. The performance of these selected Marketing Personnel will be purely target oriented and would be reviewed on weekly/monthly basis. Regular review meetings will be held at Zonal Offices and upon review, if it is found that any of the Marketing Staff has not been able to make upto the required minimum standard, he/she will be immediately replaced by another staff from the panel without assigning any reason. Whereas Zonal Managers have been fully empowered and delegated with the authority for monitoring the performance of Marketing Personnel in their Zones, a duty is also simultaneously cast upon them to judiciously evaluate the performance of those Marketing Personnel and ensure that no Under-Performing-Marketing Personnel is allowed to continue and his/her name is removed from the panel forthwith under intimation to the H.R. Department and Marketing Department at Head Office. Any laxity in this regard by the respective Zonal Manager would naturally jeopardise Banks initiatives. In respect of Marketing Personnel, whose performance is below 75% will be reviewed half yearly by the Marketing Head in consultation with Zonal Manager in terms of IOM No. RDD:UHS:2008-09:270 dated 2.12.2008 .

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS FOR MARKETING STAFF Once the selection process is completed and the staff is inducted in the Marketing Team, they shall be provided 3 to 7 days comprehensive training at MDI, Mumbai or at other Training Centres. The training shall focus on product details, selling skills, communication and behavioral skills so as to equip them with traits leading to healthy development of business for the Bank.

:3: BUSINESS KIT AND OTHER PERQUISITES Enhanced and very attractive perquisites/monetary incentives are provided to marketing staff as under (Branch Circular No. 102 /158 dated 13.12.2008)

:4: FACILITIES TO MARKETING HEAD 1. The primary duty of Head Marketing is going out in the market for development of business and monitoring of Sales Force and therefore all the facilities being proposed to the members of Sales Force as above will be available to him / her. 2. Head Marketing is also required to entertain various clients. Hence they are entitled to Entertainment Expenses at par with Branch Managers of their equivalent scale. 3. Laptop to all the Head Marketing as the Marketing Department will be required to make presentations to various clients on a regular basis for marketing the products of STAR UNION DAIICHI LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY LTD. on Corporate Agency basis. The laptop will be a part of Zonal Office IT Infrastructure. SELECTION PROCESS : Willing candidates satisfying the basic criteria as per the eligibility norms mentioned above may submit their applications in the format enclosed. The application is to be submitted to their respective Branch Managers. The last date for submission of application is 25.04.2009. The Managers are advised to forward the applications received with their comments and recommendations to the Zonal Manager so as to reach him latest by 30.04.2009. The Zonal Managers are advised to complete screening process by 5th May, 2009, and send applications to the Head Office, HRDD with their recommendations, so as to commence interview process immediately thereafter.

02. Since Marketing has been identified as a Key-Area for the development of the Bank, Branch Managers/ Zonal Managers are expected to be very careful in screening the applicants profile, especially their aptitude for the job.
