As discussed in class and from assigned readings, be able to identify and discuss the basic differential diagnosis of benign versus malignant lesions and discuss the basic cancer staging systems. Orthopedic Examination As discussed in class and from assigned readings, be able to describe the performance and correct interpretation of common orthopedic tests related to the lumbar and cervical spines. As discussed in assigned readings, be able to describe, discuss and evaluate the following conditions, including etiology, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and management: -Scoliosis -Spondylolisthesis Laboratory Evaluation

As discussed in class and from assigned readings, be able to outline the components of a standard complete blood count(CBC) and urinanalysis(UA) and be able to determine whether a value is normal or abnormal and what that abnormality might mean in a clinical scenario. Diagnostic Imaging Evaluation As discussed in assigned readings, be able to discuss the clinical application of the ten rules of radiology. Case Studies As discussed in class and from your investigative readings, be able to discuss the diagnostic evaluation for, differential diagnosis of and therapeutic management of the cases discussed in class. These include: -Retinitis Pigmentosa -Guillain-Barre Syndrome -Ossification of the Posterior Longitudinal Ligament -Case #4(currently under investigation)
