COMPOUND COMPLEX SENTENCE

SIMPLE SENTENCE Is a sentence with only one main verb in it that reflects the existence of one idea. Examples: I arrive at school on time Mr. Hadi speaks English fluently You must stufy harder than before COMPOUND SENTENCE Is a sentence with two main verbs or more in it that reflects the existence of several ideas and among each of these ideas are linked by a conjunction. The conjunctions are: but (tetapi), although (meskipun), even though (meskipun), as soon as (segera setelah), becouse (sebab), unless (kecuali jika), otherwise (jika tidak), or else (jjika tidak), therefore (olehkarena itu), that is why (itulah sebabnya), so (maka), so that (sehingga), before (sebelum), if (jika), and (dan), after (setelah). Examples: Mr. Hadi is a doctor and (he) lives near here I will marry her if I love her Lina is alone at home but she never feel afrain I wont come to your house unless you fetch me COMPLEX SENTENCE

Is a sentence with only one main verb in it is accompanied by the phrase to describe the subject or object by using the relative pronoun: who, whom, the which, that, and whose. 1. Who : menghubungkan anak kalimat dengan orang (subjek) 2. Whom : menghubungkan anak kalimat dengan orang (objek) 3. Which : menghubungkan anak kalimat dengan benda (subjek/objek) 4. That : menghubungkan anak kalimat dengan orang atau benda (subjek/objek) 5. Whose : menghubungkan anak kalimat dengan bentuk kepunyaan (subjek/objek)

Examples: Rini who speaks English well is the best student in class Painem whom pailul loves is a loyal wife The car which I just bought was made in Germany in 1980 He is the man that you saw last night Mr. Tukul whose secretary is very beautiful works more than ten hours a day COMPOUND COMPLEX SENTENCE Is a combination of compound sentences and complete sentences, so in which there is one main verb or more accompanied by one or more subordinate clauses. I just visited Mr. Hadi who was admitted to the hospital two days ago and brought him a bunch of flowers which my secretary bought from a flower shop near my office.
