GENERAL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

Rosslares VeritraxTM, is a networked access control system for medium scale applications handling up to 10,000 right holding users, and 64 doors. A system may be comprised of up to 32 networked AC-215 Access Control Units (ACUs) driven by Rosslares powerful, flexible and easy to use PC Enterprise software. The VeritraxTM system provides the flexibility of connecting multiple door networks across several communications platforms including RS-485, Ethernet TCP/IP LAN, and PSTN Modem. Each VeritraxTM ACU subnets, consisting of 1 or more ACUs, may be connected to a PC running the VeritraxTM AS-215 Server PC Software for continuous event monitoring, or periodically for batch downloading of event data, administration and maintenance. Other PCs on the network may connect to the server by running the VeritraxTM AS-215 Client PC Software. The system provides an ideal, modular, expandable, and flexible solution for commercial and institutional needs. Veritrax system runs on Microsoft Windows 98/Me and NT/2000/Xp operating systems. It is ideal for an enterprise scale application deployment, utilizing a Client/Server architecture, allows access to multiple local or remote door networks, from multiple PC terminals within a local network.

AC-215 NETWORKED DOOR CONTROLLER

The VeritraxTM AC-215 ACU is a total solution for the creation of a network of door controllers. Whatever configuration your application requires, VeritraxTM lets you easily design and install a system optimized to suit your needs. Each ACU automatically supports both 1 door (In/Out) and 2 Door (In/Out, In/In and Out/Out) configurations (See Figure 3.). This provides maximum flexibility, and economy on demand. The complete hardware unit (See Figure 2.) is housed in a rugged, hinged metal enclosure that is lockable and tamper protected. The enclosure is compatible with Rosslares PS-14 Power Supply/Charger module, and provides externally visible status LEDs for Power, backup battery voltage status, and power failure. Also included is a special sound unit for audible signals such as alarms, doors reminders and a doorbell. Inside the ACU enclosure, pre-installed components include an AC-AC power transformer, a power supply/charger unit with tabbed battery connectors, a special Bell Unit for audible signals such as alarms, door reminders, and doorbell, the main ACU PCB, space for a Sealed Lead Acid backup battery, and a tamper switch. This means that installation only requires the connection of peripheral keypads/card readers, door strikes/monitors, AC power, and optionally, to a data network. Overall the unit is self contained and ready for installation without the need to source and assemble numerous system parts. The VeritraxTM AC-215 ACU provides seamless integration with Rosslare's range of Proximity Card Readers, PIN keypads, PIN+Prox readers, Smart Card Readers, RFID User Cards and tags. The AC-215 is also compatible with Biometric and Fingerprint readers, Facial and Voice recognition units, and all standard Wiegand 26 or Clock and Data devices.
