Project MTech Project

1. Modeling and analysis of a Serial line manufacturing system to study the effect of buffer size on the machine utilization Analyze the effect of buffer size and arrival rate on machine utilization and queue length and find out the optimum buffer size for a particular machine. 2. Policy Design For Manufacturing Strategies: Some Control Theory Application A factory model with inventory, part supplier, labor, customer and competitors, and production capacity sectors is developed and the model has been examine the effect of three important competitive strategies:Time-to-develop in the market, Low cost, R&D (innovation) -on the market share and hence the profit of the company. And also analyze the Bull whip effect on manufacturing sector due to distributor and supplier sector.

BTech Project:
1. Design and Manufacturing of All Terrain Vehicle (Duration : 1 year) The goal is to design and build a prototype of a rugged, single seat, off-road recreational vehicle intended for sale to the non-professional, weekend off-road enthusiast. I handle the task of designing, fabrication, project management and racing (as a driver) an off road vehicle. Total budget of the project is 2.50 lakhs, sponsored by Bharat Forge.

Achievements: y Rank 9th in mini BAJA SAE India competition among 27 college teams all over India. y Also rank 2nd in top Speed and 3rd in Hill climbing and Maneuverability category. y Won a cash prize of Rs 80,000. y Learn how to utilize the each team members strengths to effectively accomplish tasks and projects.
