CallConfine Web Synchronization

Technical Specification:
This document details the deployment plan of CallConfine Web Synchronization Server and Client Module. 1. A desktop client referred to as the CallConfine Synchronization Client deployed at the branch offices will periodically poll the branch/local data store to identify call records that have not been synchronized with the headquarters data store. 2. On identifying call records that have not been synchronized the CallConfine synchronization Client will submit the required call records to the Headquarters data store using Web Service and SOAP as the transmission protocol. 3. The headquarters will have a Web Service referred to as the CallConfine Synchronization Server. This component will run on IIS (Internet Information Services) server. 4. The CallConfine Synchronization server will be in listening mode and will accept Synchronization requests from various branch offices and transfer the information into the Headquarters data store. 5. User has an option to synchronize the call automatically, manually with different options available. The best feature provided is to break the recorded calls in Chunk and then synchronize to maximize the Bandwidth utilization.

System Requirement:

Operating System: Win 2003 Server.

As the Web Synchronization system transfer the voice data from across the branches to the Server machine & a huge amount of database transaction happens in between at both the Database End. Once the Synchronization process starts Web Server machine get engaged in serving the requests coming from the branch machine application. Normal Win XP has not much capability to handle such amount of simultaneous request so we recommend Win 2003 Server for better Performance.
Database: SQL Server 2000/2005

As the amount of transaction database encounter during the Synchronization process is huge. MSDE & SQL Express are the light version of MS SQL Server having limited data capacity & load handling. SQL Express has 4 GB max capacity of database. So MS SQL Server 2000/2005 is recommended for performance tuning. In addition to that SQL Express & MSDE has other limitations that make the database transaction very slow at later point of time. Since synchronized data base size keeps growing & it would become very difficult to manage the database like SQL Express/MSDE.

Moreover report generation is a big issue using the light weight DB. Therefore we strongly recommend to have MS SQL Server 2000/2005.

Static IP is required on Server Machine and it must be connected to all branch System via Leased Line/ISDN
