Mission Statement

Ensure healthy food using natural and best ingredients at reasonable price and exclusive service and improve customer satisfaction.

Current situation
We have 1600sft office space available at the road side near Japan Garden City.

Goals

Serve and improve customer satisfaction. Continuingly maintain quality by using fresh ingredients and raw material. Increase quality by taking customer feedback on a regular basis. Provide food at reasonable price. Introduce exclusive interior with multiple facility. Setup music based food zone which will also have a smoke zone where we can serve shisha.

Strategy

We want to provide the fresh food to the customer. So we collectsraw materials like chicken, fish, vegetable and other spice from Thatari bazaar and Kawran bazaar. We can collect it at early morning so that we can get all fresh items and it costs us much cheap.

Customer preference is a major issue in running a business. So we used to do market survey on college & university students, young people and music loving customers to identify what type of product they actually like. And we can also arrange fashion show, DJ party & musical competition to attract more customer.

We should provide fair price according to its environment and facilities.

Though the place is own by one of our business partner, so we can reduce a large amount of cost from it.

Time management is a great factor in a business. So we ensure that the customers will get food in time.

We have very good relation with local people and the commissioner. Quality management is also an important issue. We ensure Total Quality Management in his employee.

STRENGTH Cleanliness of the food and restaurant. Excellent preparation of high quality food and services by the employees. High quality food at reasonable price. Raka is able to ensure Total Quality Management in his employees.

WEAKNESS Raka did not have enough capital. Only got contract to run NSU cafeteria for only one year. Collecting order from GP employees is a big hassle. Setting up technology based ordering system is a big issue.

Job Analysis
Organizational Structure Raka is going to serve at NSU cafeteria and to GP employees. To run this business successfully he need some employees like a manager who will perform the job of a manger, food and service coordinator. Then Raka also need a cashier, cheefs and waiters. He also needs food delivery people to deliver food to GP employees. We discuss the job description and job specification of the employees below. Manager : The manager must balance the perspectives of all of his or her direct reports, solid and dotted line. The manager is the most important person in the business as the overall performance of the restaurant depends on him. The manager also need to perform the role of food and service coordinator. Responsibilities : Extracting strategy to reach the goal and obtain decision. Giving salary to the workers. Solving the problems of the workers. Estimate what amount of raw material is needed within a week. Aim is to be served the best quality food. Making a list of food which is to be served in the Grammen phone office and in the North South University canteen.

Question : What are the factors that affect recruiting for Rakas business

ANS : Raka is running his business at Malotilata in Banani and at NSU cafeteria in Bashundhara and is going to supply food to GP employees. His business needs people to run it properly. So he needs to recruit efficient people to run the business properly. Factors that affects recruiting for Rakas business are Rakas business is a growing business. So he needs to

hire more people regularly. In order to maintain TQM in NSU campus beside Malotilata at Banani he needs to recruit efficient staffs and chefs who had previous experience in catering business.

As he plans not to run a cafeteria at GP he also needs to

ensure that he has the right men to deliver foods to the employees at GP timely. As Raka is planning to supply lunch and Tiffin to GP

employees, he needs to supply the food in packages. So he needs efficient packaging people to deliver the food in proper way.

As the food ordering and delivery process for GP

employee is a hassle work so Raka needs to hire efficient managerial people who can manage to food ordering and delivery process properly.

Serving food to the huge number of students at

NSU he needs efficient staffs to serve the food to the students and teachers properly.

Question : What are the constraints of Recruiting effort for Rakas business and what kind of advertisement effort .
ANS: Raka runs a growing restaurant business. So for the betterment of his business he needs to hire people on a regular basis. As people are the main asset of a business he needs to hire the best people available locally. For recruiting he can use some advertisement effort. Like At NSU he can run different kinds of advertisement effort At NSU Raka can run monthly arrangement of food festivals to let the students and teacher know what kind of food and service he really offers. He can give discount offers to the students who regularly have a lunch at NSU cafeteria. He can also offer food made by special chefs on the festivals. At GP he can run advertisement effort like Raks can distribute leaflets among the GP employees to let them know about his service. He can make promotion of his business at facebook the most popular social community website.

Question : What sources he should use for recruiting the best people
ANS : The main asset of a business is its people. Without efficient people a business cant run properly. So Raka needs to hire efficient people to run his business properly. The sources he should use for recruiting the best people are-

Raka is an influential person. Science he is in catering

business he knows his competitors and the best chefs and staffs available for his business locally. He can hire people from there. Using his political power and influence he can also recruit

people for his business. He can also recruit people on the basis of

references and reconditions. He can give newspaper advertisement for hiring

people for his business. He can also post circular within the NSU campus

for students who are willing to do par-time managerial jobs.

Question : Validity test for the selection of the manager in the cafeteria.
ANS : There are mainly three types of validity process: 1. Content validity: this test is arraneg by same question so candidates are given test on the same question that is why applicants can be properly compered. 2. Construct validity: this is difficult validity test because this test based on intelligence.and abstrcut in nature. 3. Criterion validity: ths test all abot score and job performance.

So besides these validity tests we have some on spot validity test.as example: we select a person as manager then monitor his work for somedays then recruit him. Or we give to him a situation then tell him how to handle this situation.if he capable for this job then we select him. In caf there are so many problems can arise everyday so manager should flxible and can able to take instant dicision.

Executive Summary
Rakas main purpose is to ensure healthy food using natural and best ingredients at reasonable price and serve and improve customer satisfaction. Raka is a BBA graduate from NSU and MBA graduate from Australia. When he came to Bangladesh he wants to do something by his own. So when he heard that NSU students and faculties are not satisfied with the food of NSU canteen, he opened the Malotilata restaurant in Banani to provide food NSU students and teachers. He provides high quality food at low price at Malotolata. When he heard that NSU is shifting to its own campus at Bashundhara, he decided to open a canteen in the NSU campus. He had some advantage of political power that he used to get the opportunity and he also did a quick survey about the taste of food and quality the students of NSU would prefer. He also found an opportunity to serve food to the GP head office at Bashundhara using the same political power. He is looking forward to expand his business and improve the quality and variety of foods he supplies. There is a great prospect for him if he carries on his business strategically.
