SCOM Architecture

System Center Operation manager having some component to build Architecture those are Operational Database Root management Server Management Server Console Reporting Data warehouse Reporting Server

Operational Database is installed first in the SCOM environment; this database will contain configuration details of scom environment and

managed object health status. The database will have the 7days data in it and it will be moved permanently to Data warehouse.

Root management Server is installed first in the scom environment among the Management group servers; it is a central point of configuration for management and supports high availability. In RMS there are three services running on it SDK is used to communicate with Database .console will intact with SDK to fetch or write data in Database.
Configuration Services will collect the configuration details from

managed object. Health Services is used to collect health information from managed object through agent.

Management Server is installed to reduce RMS load, it sends and receives the configuration data from agents and in case RMS fails MS can be manually configured as RMS.

Console is used to centralized management of SCOM environment and we can create roll based security access.

Reporting Data warehouse is used to store long term data and it will reproduce the data whenever we request and it will store the data of 400 days.

Reporting Server is used to generate and view the report from data warehouse and we can view the report in web based console over the internet.

Supportive component in SCOM Architecture or Additional Component Agents Third party integration ACS Agents Agents are used to communicate with the server from the managed object. Agents are deployed in the managed object and through agents only managed object are monitored from RMS server

Third Party integration In scom RMS server we can integrate third party tools like ticketing tool or other monitoring tool. This will be done through SDK services which are running in RMS server. Audit Collection Server This functionality is used to collect the Security events from the managed objects.
