One day, she was supposed to go into the woods and bring home the cattle, but she could not find the herd. She got lost and came to a large mountain with gates and doors. She went inside. A

table was there, set with many kind of things to eat. There was also a bed there, and a large snake was lying on it. It said to the girl, Have a seat, if you want to. Come and lie down in this bed, if you want to! But if you dont want to, its all right! the girl didnt do any of this. The next day, she went into the wood again to look for her herd, but she could not find what she was looking for. Instead, she got lost again and came to the same mountain. She went inside again and found everything the same as the first time: a table and the bed with the snake. It said to her, as the time before, Have a seat, if you want to! Eat, if you want to! Come and lie down in this bed, if you want to! But if you dont want to, its all right. Now, a lot more people are coming. They want to dance with you, but do not go with them. The snake had barely finished talking when a lot more people came, and they began to dance and eat and drink. The girl wanted nothing to do with them, so she left the mountain and went home. On the third day, she went into the woods again, and the same thing happened to her as on the previous days. The snake invited her to eat and drink. Which she did with a good appetite. After that, the snake asked her to lie down next to it, and the girl did that a well. Then the snake said, Hold me in your arm! she did it. Kiss me! said the snake. If youre afraid, just put your apron between us! the girl did it, and in that instant the snake turned into a handsome young man. In reality, he was a prince who had been bewitched into this form through magic, but the girls courage had saved him. The two of them went away, and since then they have never been heard from again Page 13 Part 2 Title: Beauty and the Beast Orientation: Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful girl in a village. A Perfect Morning
Orientation : On an early spring morning, I woke up with a strange thought, Something is going to happen. The weather was beautiful and the morning promised a perfect day. : I was still in bed, enjoying the sun and fresh air. Suddenly, the phone rang. I answered it and a strange voice said: Good morning. Are you awake yet? I wondered who it was. It was a nice womans voice with a special accent. She told me that she wanted

to see me and hang out. That phone call made me think a lot. : But then a few minutes later, I forgot about it. I had breakfast and went out for a walk. The weather was warm. : I was walking through the park, enjoying the beautiful nature when a young boy came along. He was taking a wallet from the ground. It seemed to me that I had seen this wallet before. : First, I thought that he had dropped it, : but this next action made me think the opposite. The boy took the wallet carefully, cleaned it, and put it into his pocket. After that, he ran as quickly as he could. I didnt know what to do, so I began to scream loudly. I hoped there would be somebody nearby to catch him, but there was nobody around. I ran after him, but he disappeared somehow. Then, I reached in my pocket and realized that it was mine. I felt very hopeless-no money, no keys, nothing. Maybe I had dropped it : Then, I walked along the path, trying to look for a telephone booth, thinking of phoning the police. Yet, I could not find one. This was a very awful day. : Suddenly, when I was sitting on a bench, a fascinating young woman appeared. She asked: What has happened to you? Where have you been? it was the same voice which I had heard that morning on the phone. The same special accent. I couldnt believe my eyes. She was standing in front of me, trying to tell me something. : At that moment I felt someone shaking me and

Wake up, wake up. Its getting late, wake up! Ending/reorientation: I opened my eyes and saw my mother. What a pity! No fascinating young lady, no park, nothing. I got out of bed immediately and checked where my wallet was. Thank God! It was there. It had only been a bad dream. Page 24 Part 1 1. Bangun 2. Jalan-jalan 3. Mengejar 4. Mencari 5. Datang

Honeybees
General statement: Honeybees use nectar to make honey. Nectar is almost 80% water with some complex sugars. In fact, if you have ever pulled a honeysuckle blossom out of its stem, nectar is the clear liquid that drops from the end of the blossom. Bees get nectar from flowers like clovers, dandelions, berry bushes, and fruit tree blossoms. Sequenced explanation: 1. The first step in making honey begins when field bees fly from flower to flower collecting the nectar. They use their long, tube-like tongues like straws to suck the nectar out of the flowers and then they store it in their honey stomachs. Bees actually have two stomachs, their honey stomach which they use like a nectar backpack and their regular stomach. The honey stomach holds almost 70 mg of nectar and when full, it weighs almost as much as the bee does. Honeybees must visit between 100 and 150 flowers in order to fill their honey stomachs. 2. The field bees return to the hive and pass the nectar to other worker bees. These bees suck the nectar from the honeybees stomach through their mouths. 3. These worker bees chew the nectar for about half an hour. During this time, enzymes break down the complex sugars in the nectar into simple sugars so that it is both more digestible for the bees and less likely to be attacked by bacteria while it is stored within the hive. 4. The bees then spread the nectar throughout the honeycombs and water evaporates from it, making it a thicker syrup. The bees make the nectar dry even faster by fanning it with their wings. Then, the

bees seal off the cell of the honeycomb with a plug of wax. The honey is stored until it is eaten. Closing: In one year, a colony of bees eats between 120 and 200 pounds of honey. Can you imagine how many flowers they have collected the nectar from? Credit cards Introduction: A credit card is an automatic money advance card.

Nowadays, credit cards represent a major element of modern life. When you use them, you can get the goods you want to buy without paying for them yet. Credit cards are widely used as a source of convenient credit for restaurants, hotels, and on-line television advertised products. Using credit cards have both advantages and disadvantages, but the consequences of credit cards misuse can be drastic and painful.

Arguments for: Credit cards offer a lot of advantages if they are used properly. The major advantage is that credit cards eliminate the need to carry large sums of cash. If you are away from home without cash, you can receive a cash advance or have the option of buying travelers checks with a credit card. Credit cards permit people to make large purchases, such as buying expensive semester textbooks or getting your car repaired. Also, credit cards can help for emergencies like paying medical bill caused by accident. Moreover, you often get the best rates of exchange when travelling in foreign countries if you use your credit cards for purchases. A responsible repayment of credit cards can permit card holders to fit into middle class life and at the same time develop the quality of spending habits. Arguments against: The real problem with credit cards is that the owed amounts must be paid back on a regular basis. Commercial banks, indirectly, tend to induce their customers to make excessive purchases without paying attention whether they will be able or not to pay the debt accumulated when purchasing with credit cards. In turn, this makes the debts increased and finally these card holders are unable to repay, causing problems with their personal credit the higher costs accumulated for the initial purchase could be avoided as well as the high interest rates of credit cards by paying for the items in cash. Conclusion: In conclusion, credit cards could be considered best friends as long as they are used in a right manner and the payments are made without getting in debt.
