Note: This is your digital worksheet. You will nd the instructions for todays module here. Perform the requested tasks using this Pages le. In other words, make it your own. Thank you!

Part One: YOUR Epistemological World Views Summarize here your ndings (even if tentative!) about your theories of knowledge. Domains Natural Science Item #s 1, 5, 14 YOUR world view Evaluativist Brief Reason + Remarks Some theories are more convincing than others. Maybe because of more evidence. Different people conduct experiments and eventually some are more convincing than others. We all have different views and tastes in art. What I think is right is not necessarily right for others. I only believe in one god.

Part Two: Ways of Knowing How important are the different Ways of Knowing in the different domains? Rate them from 1 to 10 according to importance, with 10 as VERY IMPORTANT. If there are other ways of knowing/judging, use the last column and specify. Domains Natural Science Social Science Art Morality Religion Sense Perception 8 8 9 8 6 Reason 10 10 5 8 5 Language 5 5 7 8 8 Emotion 3 6 10 10 9 Others?

Part Three: AUTHORITY and/or EVIDENCE When you justify claims, how much do you actually rely on External Authority and Direct Evidence for every domain? Assign a percentage to each one per domain (Just make an estimate, so NO decimal points--e.g., 25.2321%!). Make sure both total 100%. Domains Natural Science % AUTHORITY 30% % EVIDENCE 70% 100% Brief Reason + Remarks Just like Social Science that has a lot of theories, Natural Science also has a lot of theories and these theories have evidences to support it. Without evidences, I believe that the claim wouldnt have been accepted. We have all these theories that serve as evidences for a claim and I believe that this is more important in the eld of Social Science. When we say that a painting is beautiful, usually we need proof or evidence so justify our claim. Without this justication, people wont really believe us and other people also have their own opinion on different paintings. When it comes down to what is right and what is wrong, authority will not always convince us on what is right and wrong. Sometimes we need some evidence to prove wether or not something is right or wrong. For religion, we have the Church as the authority and most of what we know comes from the Church.

Some learnings, comments, connections...

- When it comes down to opinions like art and ethics, I see myself as a reletivist because I cannot argue with what others say as we have to respect the choices of others. - Being a Reletivist is not always 100% correct because its like you are just settling for something that is already there. You dont try doing more such as seeing what can be more right than the other. - Same goes to being an Absolutist. We only go for the choice that is already said to be correct, but we dont come up with other questions that may prove relevant to the topic. - When it comes down to the Sciences, I think that evidences are more important because over time, different people come up with more evidences that may try to prove or disprove a claim or theory or even question that.
