Indian Citizen possessing the following qualification and fulfilling the hereinafter mentioned criteria for appointment to the post of Non-Official Marriage Officer for the area and the number of post mentioned below in different Blocks,Municipality and Corporations of different districts in West Bengal which will be working jurisdiction of the Non-Official Marriage Officers. 1. The applicant must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or the equivalent Examination from a recognized Board/Council/Madrasah of the State Government/Central Government/Union Territory and must have workable knowledge of computer and well conversant with the language of the area which he/she likes to apply. 2. Age of the applicant is not less than 25 years and not more than 40 years as on the closing date of receipt of the application. 3. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the local area for which he/she is applying and who is a person repute and has not been convicted by any Court of Law involving moral turpitude. 4. The applicant shall not hold a fulltime employment of the Central Government or any of the State Government or central Government undertaking or any state Government undertakings or any institution which receives grant from Central Government or any of the State Government. 5. The applicant must be able to arrange a telephone connection at his/her proposed office at his/her own cost. 6. The applicant shall be able to arrange an office accommodation for not less than 100 sq. ft. carpet area within the local area for which he/she is applying for if he/she is appointed for the said post. 7. The applicant must note that the working days of a non-official Marriage Officer shall not be less than five days in a week and the working hours of a non-official Marriage Officer shall be fixed by him subject to a condition that at least two consecutive hours shall be within 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., every working day. 8. Last date of submission of application is 30 th August, 2011. A person cannot apply for the Non-Official Marriage Officer for more than 1 (one) area. Application in enclosed format along with attested copies of certificates in respect of his/her age , qualification and proof of residence duly certified by Gram Prodhan/ Councillor / GroupA officer of Central/State Government along with attested 3 (three) passport size black and white photographs ( one pasted on the top right side of the application and other two enclosed with the application) and 2 (two) self-addressed envelope 22cm.x 10cm.must reach the Secretary, Judicial Department, Government of West Bengal, Writers Buildings, Kolkata 700 001 within 30 th August 2011.
