Rev. Naomi King speaks to us about loving our enemies in church and outside, Universalism reminds us that all of us already belong to life and that our work is to make real in each and every day that sense of belonging and love. Universalists based that doctrine rst on Jesus telling us to love our enemies before we turned to the business of loving God, our neighbors, or ourselves. How did early Universalists manage? How shall we? Rev . Naomi King will lead this service assisted by Worship Committee Chair Raquel Reyes.

Outreach Offertory: The Somalia East African Relief Fund

In light of the dire humanitarian crisis severe droughtleading to devastating famine in East Africa, UUSC has opened the Somalia and East Africa Relief Fund. Using a multifaceted approach, UUSC willwork with partners on the ground to provide immediate relief to Somalis suering from the famine as well as support communities hosting Somali refugees in other countries aected by the crisis. We will be taking up a collection this Sunday, August 21, 2011.

Are you ready for your close up?

Je & Carol Reiter would like to create a video that shows who we are, as individuals, as a congregation, and most of all as UUs. We would like for you to team up with other individuals. Using paper & markers each of you can write down a few words that speak for you. One word per page per person. Watch the screens in our sanctuary before and immediately after Sundays service for an example of what we have in mind. Beginning the following Sunday, August 28th, well be shooting video. So, come ready to be lmed. See you next week right after services with your ! messages!

HELPING HANDS Our new Minister, Reverend Wendy Pantoja will be moving to UU JAZZ Miami sometime next week Our rst concert of the series begins on Sunday, September 25th, (August 22th-28th). She will have 4pm in the Sanctuary. The Debbie help from a moving company to Orta Quintet will grace our stage do the heavy lifting but might OWL TRAINING with veteran musicians. Tickets at need some help organizing things afterward. Lets show her some Our Whole Lives is a curriculum the door- $15 adults, $10 minors.
