OFFCenter is the home of the famous We Art the People! Folk Art Festival. Started in 2003, our annual festival has grown in energy and involvement from an enormous community of artists, entertainers, musicians and volunteers who create a unique Albuquerque event free-to-the-public attended annually by over 2000 visitors and art buyers.The primary mission of the Festival is to bring together self-taught, folk and community artists together for spontaneous and creative fun! Folks gather to make art for free in our: Art Making Tent and Community Arts areas, as well as sell art, make music, poetry, giant puppet theater, present dance performances, and more! Our annual festival is the culmination of creative expression throughout the year from free workshops and community outreach programs provided by OFFCenter. Be a part of the fun to help raise money for OFFCenter, by going to our Board of Director s Tent at the festival which houses our White Elephant Yard Sale, and OFFCenter products - all with 100% proceeds going to OFFCenter. We re downtown Albuquerque s 501 (c) 3 social profit organization committed to providing opportunity for artists of all walks of life!
