De Montfort University (DMU) offers excellent support for English language learning. If you have not met the English language requirements for your programme yet, we offer a range of English language courses designed to bring you up to the required level. For example, if you are 0.5 IELTS points below your programmes entry requirement, we will offer you a place on our pre-sessional English language course beginning on 16 August 2011. We will continue to support you with your English language learning throughout the duration of your programme at DMU: students can attend two to three hours of free English language courses per week. Please apply early to make sure you have the best chance of securing a room. Please note that you can only select your accommodation online once you have accepted this conditional offer, so if you know you want to study with us, please email the International Admissions Office to accept your offer. DMU offers scholarships to international students.
