ORDER FOR THE LORD SUPPER Also called THE EUCHRIST ( Thanksgiving) and HOLY COMMUNION

All men. A TIME OF SILENCE The Deacon shall lead the congregation in saying together: Heavenly Father, We confess that we have sinned against you, And against our neighbour. We have named the name of Christ And yet continued to do evil. We have walked in darkness And failed to do good. We pray that you will have mercy on us: For the sake of Jesus Christ Forgive us all our sins, Cleans us by your Holy Spirit, Quicken our consciences, and Enable us to forgive others; That we may serve you in newness of Life to the glory of your Holy Name. Hear the summary of the Law: You shall love The Lord your God with all your heart, and with all Your soul< and with all your mind< and with all your strength. This is the great and first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as youself. On these two Commandments depend all the law and the prophets. ( Mathew 22, 37___ 40 ) Our Lord Jesus Christ said: A new commandment I give you , that you love one another: even As I have loved you, that you may love one another. By this will all Men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for Another ( john 13, 34 _____ 35 ) ALL: Lord have mercy upon us and incline our hearts to keep this law. Deacon: We have come together to hear God,s Holy word and to receive the Body and blood of the Lord. Let us examine ourselves in silence and Seek God,s grace and forgiveness. Let us confess our sins in Penitence and faith , firmly resolved to live in love and peace with

THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD Presbyter: All: The Lord be with you. And also with you.

The collect appointed for the day is announced and read. An Old Testament Lesson may be read, after which the Reader shall say: This is the Word of Lord. All: Thanks be to God. The Epistle shall be read, after which the Reader shall say: This is the Word of the Lord. All: Thanks be to God. A hymn or canticle may be sung. All stand as the Gospel is announced. After it has been read the Presbyter shall say This is the Gospel of Chist.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophrts, We believe in one holy Catholic and Apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, And the life of the world to come. Amen. ALL STAND and the presbyter says: Behold, how good and joyful a thing it is, brethren,to dwell together in Unity ( psalm 133, 1) We, who are many, are one bread, one body for we all partake of the One bread. ( 1 cor. 10 , 17)

While those bearing them stand before the table all may join In the following prayer: Presbyter Holy Father, who consecrated for us a new and living way, through The blood of your dear son, receive us unworthy as we are. Accept these offerings and use them for your glory. All things come From you , O LORD , and of your own do we give you. The bearers of the offertory shall return to their places. Your disciples, and make yourself known to us in the breaking of the Bread. By your Holy Spirit sanctify us, and this bread and wine, that They may become for us your body and blood. Again after supper He took the cup; He gave You thanks, and gave It to them, saying: Drink this all of you, for this is my blood of new

Covenant, which is shed for you and foe many for the forgiveness of Sins. Do this as often as you drink it , in remembrance of me. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yors, Now and for ever. SILENCE All: We do not presume to come to this your table, merciful Lord, Trusting in our own righteousness, but in your manifold and great Mercies.We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs Under your table. After receiving himself, the presbyter shall lead the congregation in the Following devotion: Amen.

The Presbyter may then dismiss the congregation saying: Go in peace and serve the Lord To which the congregation may reply: In the name of Christ. Amen.
