INTRODUCTION This report documents Uniform Positive and Negative Load testing of two air-heating solar collectors for Your Solar Home, Inc. Testing was done in accordance with Section 6.2.5 of CAN/CSA Standard F378-87 Solar Collectors. The National Solar Test Facility is operated by Bodycote Testing Group for Natural Resources Canada.

UNIFORM POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE LOAD TEST PROCEDURE The Uniform PositiveandNegativeLoad testswere donein accordance with Section6.2.5of CAN/CSA-F378-87"Solar Collectors". The two collectortypestestedare intendedfor surface and rack mounting,and were thereforetestedfor both typesof installation. Testpressure differentialsusedwere + 1.5kPa, -0.5 kPa and -2.0 kPa, in that order. Acceptance criteria for this test arecontainedin Section5.6.2 of the Standard. The 15000 model was first reinforced(by Bodycotestaff) with two 19" long aluminum extrusionsprovidedby the Client, and in accordance with the instructionsin the "Add-On Reinforcement Kit" amendment the Solarsheat to 10000/15000 installationmanual(version2.2) providedby the Client. Both collector samples their associated and mountinghardwarewere assembled per the as installationmanualprovidedby Your SolarHome, Inc., andthen attached turn to the loadtest in table.

TEST RESULTS after testing. Therewas no apparent permanent distortion of eithertest sampleobserved

CONCLUSIONS
BodycoteSamples 07-08-9195-1 07-08-9195-2 and both passedthe CSA-F378-87 Positiveand NegativeLoad Testsat the pressures specifiedfor surface-mounted for rack-mounted and collectors.
