Kristen Iannarino and Arthur Siebesian Period 2- Mrs.

Simmonds

Our pre-cana program will be parish based at St. Brigid of Kildare. There are five steps to the program. This Pre-Cana involves meeting with a priest of deacon in the Diocese of Columbus. Us attending FOCCUS which is a compatibility survey. Meeting with a married couple in the church through a program called Couple-to-couple. We must go to pre-cana, a day retreat. Finally, we plan our liturgy together. We chose this because this it was it takes to be married at St. Brigid. The steps in there precana help a couple come together as one and see if they are on the same page about everything.

Saint Brigid of Kildare church will be hosting our wedding. The officiate at our wedding will be Monsignor Joseph Hendricks. The best man at the wedding is Johnny Wilt and the maids of honor are Katie Iannarino and Christine Canute together. The groomsmen are Kevin Iannarino, Cole Hughes, Casey Pearson, Glen Reagan, Eddie Cavanaugh, and Robert Young. The bridesmaids are Allie Delp, Katelyn Bailey, Kristen Daughters, Katie Eichenlaub, Erin Donnelly, Amy Iannarino, and Grace Siebesian. Frank Iannarino will be presenting the bride up to the alter. Our readers are Kelly Iannarino and Julie Donnelly. The singer at our wedding is Mary Fran Cassidy, employed by St. Brigid. The Eucharistic gifts will be presented by Susie and Charlie Gaskill. There will be 300 guests attending the service. Our first reading will be Genesis 1:26-28, 31. We picked this because we both like the creation story and these passages exemplify Gods greatest creation of humankind in his image and likeness. It also displays Gods revelation through everyone we know and love. As our Gospel reading we picked is Matt 22:35-40. This is the golden rule. As a married couple we cannot forget others. Some married couples live an isolated life, however it is important to find others to love, such as friends. It is important also to not forget the poor. Our third reading is 1 Cor. 12:31-13:8. I have always loved this reading. It summarizes love very well and metaphorically compares it to many definable words because love is so indefinable. A few songs we are going to include in our wedding are Sing a New Song Unto the Lord and In the Day of the Lord as well as the Litany of Saints. The bridal dress with be simple and white (see attached picture). We will exchange the typical Roman Catholic wedding vows. (Priest: "Do you take ___ as your lawful wife/husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" Bride/Groom: "I do" Bride/Groom: "I take this ring as a sign of my love and faithfulness in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit.")
