Extensive experience At Krauss-Maffei Process Technology our experience in the field of pusher centrifuges is demonstrated in over 3000 installations throughout the world over the last 50 years. Pusher centrifuges are applied in many different industrial sectors. Bulk chemistry, plastics engineering, mining and minerals, the fibre industry and the food industry. Typical applications Salts such as sodium chloride, sodium sulphate, ammonium sulphate, potassium chloride and potassium sulphate. Plastics such as ABS, MBS, DMT, adipic acid, chlorinated rubbers, melamine, polyamides, polyethylene, polymers, polypropylene, polystyrene and also EPS.

Spectrum of use The suspension to be separated should have the following properties: easy to filter, median particle diameter greater than 100 m and viscosity of liquid less than 30 cPs. The solids contents of the slurries to be separated should ideally be between 30 and 75 % by weight with crystalline materials, and between 3 and 12 % by weight with fibrous substances. Pre-thickening is used to fortify the slurry to be dewatered to the best solids concentration for the respective application. Pusher centrifuge application permits throughput rates of up to 100 t/h with crystalline products, with a residual moisture of less than 1% in some cases.

Integration in the overall system To optimise the advantages offered by continuous operation it is necessary to feed the slurry in the highest possible concentration and in a uniform manner. For this purpose the equipment connected upstream is of critical importance. Krauss-Maffei Process Technology therefore has a wide spectrum of pre-thickening systems available. Ideally the pre-thickening, centrifuge, solids transport and dryer are incorporated in one unit. System solutions from Krauss-Maffei Process Technology combine highperformance mechanical engineering with process technology know-how. Krauss-Maffei Process Technology offers you the following advantages:

Reliable and effective pusher drive: For basket diameters of up to 500 mm the machines are fitted with a mechanical pusher drive operated via a gear and eccentric. For baskets with diameters of 630mm upwards the pusher drive is carried out via efficient oil hydraulics. Fast repair and maintenance involving minimum downtimes: In machines fitted with basket diameters from 630 mm all rotating parts are combined in a cartridge. This can be easily replaced with the spare cartridge. Any necessary maintenance work can then be carried out in the workshop with minimum disruption. Quick and easy assembly: Installation is carried out directly on elastic vibration dampers. A vibration foundation is not required.

Greater capacity and throughput rates with maximum product quality: The patented feed system ensures optimal distribution and pre-acceleration of the product.
