ABSTRACT

AMA Makati Campus a 10-storey building, has air-conditioned class rooms, an auditorium, a library and 6 computer laboratories. And one of these computer laboratories is the Computer Lab 3 (CL3). Computer Laboratory 3 is located at the 2nd floor of the campus. It has flat screen monitors and an air-conditioned room. It has a glass board perfect for the conducting classes and seminars. Computer Laboratory 3 is currently holding some classes that are related to computer based subjects such as CSCI subjects and ITNA major elective subjects.
We would like to repair and improve the Auditorium in the 10th floor because it lacks the following things:

1. Computers in the CL3 2. Lack of Computer Equipments 3. Doesnt have good facilities

There are problems that Computer Laboratory 3 is facing right now such as the lack of computer equipments and essential facilities that support the learnings of our students. These are the most necessary things that we had observed that should be present inside the Computer Laboratory 3 that would bring a huge impact on the stability of learning of the students of AMA Computer College.

II. I N T R O D U C T I O N

This is an introduction for the renovation of the AMA Computer College, Computer Lab 3 located at the 2nd floor of the campus. AMA Makati Campus a 10-storey building, has air-conditioned class rooms, an auditorium, a library and 6 computer laboratories. And one of these computer laboratories is the Computer Lab 3 (CL3). Computer Laboratory 3 is located at the 2nd floor of the campus. It has flat screen monitors and an air-conditioned room. It has a glass board perfect for the conducting classes and seminars. Computer Laboratory 3 is currently holding some classes that are related to computer based subjects such as CSCI subjects and ITNA major elective subjects. Computer Laboratory 3 is also used for school organization meetings such as JPCS or the Junior Philippine Computer Society. There are problems that Computer Laboratory 3 is facing right now such as the lack of computer equipments and essential facilities that support the learnings of our students. Computer in the CL3:  Computers that are broken will be placed at the basement temporarily so that we can work on the main room.

Lack of Computer Equipment:  We will be changing the computer equipments such as Central Processing Unit, Automatic Voltage Regulator, Mouse and Keyboard. Doesnt have good facilities:  The other room in CL3 will be repaired and it will be called conference room and meetings of the organization such as Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS) and other organization. These are the most necessary things that we had observed that should be present inside the Computer Laboratory 3 that would bring a huge impact on the stability of learning of the students of AMA Computer College.

III. O B J E C T I V E S O F T H E P R O J E C T

The following are the objectives and target of our project proposal for the innovation of Computer Lab 3 (CL3) of the AMACC Makati Campus. The primary objective of this project is to enhance the variety of computers during laboratory classes and to provide our students with highly innovated and modern computer lab tools.

Objectives: 1. The first objective of our Project Proposal is to answer the demands of students regarding Computer Lab 3. 2. The second objective of our Project Proposal is to make the students enjoy on what they had paid for. Make them feel satisfied inside the Computer Lab 3. 3. The third objective of our Project Proposal is to prioritize and focus on the course where AMA is known for through expanding high variety of tools which can be used as an educational tool during computer lab classes. AMA is IT, IT is AMA 4. The fourth objective of our Project Proposal is to support the learnings of the students have a upgrade their learning with the help of our facilities.

5. The fifth objective of our Project Proposal is to give life to what AMA is. Which popularly known as a Computer College, computer enhanced education at its finest. 6. And finally, the last objective of our Project Proposal is for the students of AMA Makati Campus to remember the high quality of work that we have done for the colleges benefit.

IV. T A R G E T

Our target to this project proposal is to improve the stability of learning of the students in AMA Computer College. The following will be our beneficiaries for the renovation of the Computer Laboratory 3. 1. Students Students are our first target in our proposal. As we all know, students contribute to theeconomic development of the AMA Computer College. In exchange, the performance of the school should match the demands of the students when it comes to learning. They will not spare time to go to school early to be able for them to get a chair inside the laboratory. They can now accomplish machine problems without hesitations that their pc terminal will hang or lag for minutes. They will be entertained every time they will use the Computer Lab 3. The students should have the opportunity of enjoying every single day of their college life at AMA Makati Campus.

2. Faculty Members Instructors/Professors will be our second beneficiary of our project proposal in Computer Lab 3. With the help of fast computer processors, creating a program will be fast and easier. Aside from teaching, faculty members can also use the Computer Lab 3 to conduct general meetings and seminars

VI. I M P L E M E N T A T I O N

A highly structured computer laboratory 3 will never be possible without these factors. These are the factors that affect the learnings of our students here at AMA Makati. And it is also for the benefit the school itself. We would like to repair and improve the computer laboratory 3 because it lacks the following things: 1. CPU Upgrade 2. Adequate space inside the laboratory 3. Technicalities 4. Internet connection

The implementations of this project proposal for the development of computer laboratory 3 are the following: CPU Upgrade 1. The upgrade will cover all hardware issues of the CPU. 2. We will replace the Processor itself, the GPU or the video card, the RAM or the memory, the HDD or the hard disk memory and the motherboard itself. These will bring fast processor speed with maximum dynamic frequency upon usage. 3. This will ease the issues regarding slow booting, lag, hang, and most of all, the slow processing of data.

Adequate space inside the laboratory 1. This is essential not just for the students itself but for the AMA Makati itself. Computer Laboratory 3 has its space but it is very limited and it can only have 35 students for every laboratory classes. 2. We will maximize the space inside the laboratory so no space will be wasted. 3. As much as possible we would like to gain most of the room so that many students at a time can experience the computer laboratory 3 during classes.

Technicalities 1. We will replace some things like UTP Cable Wire , UTP cable wire is significant for the transfer of data throughout the whole building. 2. We will replace those broken links connected to the pc terminals to the servers.

Internet connection 1. One of the most important factors of the computer laboratory. Internet connection will help our computers to be updated in a matter of time. This will improve the security of the computer to be more competitive among the users.

These are the necessary changes that should be implemented so that the Computer Laboratory 3 of AMA Makati Campus will be: 1. Wide Environment 2. High Performance Computers 3. High variety of computer products 4. Good facilities

Our estimated time frame for this project proposal would take about 2 weeks. Within this time range, we would be able to fulfil our mission in this laboratory. We would be able to change the computer laboratory in a matter of time. All of these are necessary for the improvement of Computer Laboratory 3. If we have been able to implement this proposal successfully, theres no need for the students to approach the professor in some issues. They will just sit on their computer terminal and experience the changes that we will bring. This will be the success of the AMA Computer College Makati Campus.

VII. M A I N T E N A N C E A N D P E R S O N N E L

The Computer Laboratory 3 will be maintained by the following guidelines and suggestions: A. Maintenance: 1. During laboratory class hours, students will be ask to write on an attendance book base on the amount of time they will use the laboratory. 2. Each terminals will have a number authenticated on it. 3. Trash cans will be visible at the back of the laboratory. 4. IT Department personnel will be the only authorized person to check and open the CPU to secure its parts. 5. The room will be locked when not used. 6. Bags are not allowed once inside the laboratory. 7. No drinking and eating inside the laboratory. 8. Professors should be professional enough to use the computers.

B. Personnel

1. Information Technology Department Staff will be overall in-charge of the Computer

Laboratory 3.

2. Theyre duty is to check the laboratory room once the class is finished. 3. They are the one in-charge in lights and door keys.

4. They will be asked to check the terminals to prevent hardware issues. 5. School personnel should clean the laboratory after the laboratory class.

These are the guidelines and rules that should be implemented once the Computer Laboratory will be used. This will help the laboratory to be more secure and more stable. This will help maintain the equiptments that will be used inside the laboratory.
