Purpose of the Role: This role provides business analysis and techno functional expertise for the applications within the International Cash Management functional area. The role has responsibility for contributing to maintenance releases, reviewing documentation and liaison with 3rd party vendor. Activities:

Relationship with the business analysts in Amsterdam (mainly)

Handling technical issues and contributing to maintenance releases

Relationships with 3rd party application development vendor, business acceptance test (BAT) team and Release Manager

Participate in Solution Definition and comment & review on requirements documents delivered by 3rd party vendor

Participate in, comment on and sign off on functional designs, technical designs and test plan

Support on questions from BAT and provide support to vendor on functional BAT issues

Provide On Call support during implementation

Support to release manager, business and vendor in analysis and solution of incidents resulting from the implementation.

Responsible for review of the technical designs to make sure the functional designs are correctly translated.

Responsible for making sure the actual system gets developed according specification and is thoroughly tested.

Works with staff of possible external software vendors.

Contribute to the overall designs and architecture of various applications.

Ensure that any technology development is consistent with global principles and strategy.

Conducting domain trainings & functional induction trainings for GTS.

Key deliverables:

Functional design documents

Reviewing designs, test plans & test strategy

Scope of Role:

Solution options evaluation & recommendation

Predominantly based out of Chennai with travel as needed to the range of appx 10%-20%.

Qualifications: Essential:

Graduation

Desirable:

MBA

Essential: More than 5 yrs of relevant industry experience in banking environment Knowledge of international payment processes & clearing systems Knowledge of IT architecture & Software Design Experience in Business Analysis Knowledge of programming in C, Unix, Java and Java scripting & database (Oracle and SQL) Knowledge of Websphere and web applications Experience within a payments environment or experience within payment processing. Experience in a software/application development Experience in working with third party software vendors Experience in working in large and geographically dispersed teams

Familiarity with tools such as MS project, Clearcase and MS Office and flowcharting tools (like Microsoft Visio) meant for Business Analysts Desirable: Extensive exposure to payments process in a techno functional role Experience with Payments Router and Reports Router Experience of using Use Cases in the requirements gathering process Exposure to RUP from a requirements management standpoint Able to work in a multi-cultural, international environment Knowledge of TRIP, GHCI

Essential:

Experience in C, Unix, Java

Experience in database (Oracle and SQL)

Familiarity with version controlling tools
