Narasus Sarathy Institute of Technology was established in the year 2008,approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore. Our academic growth started with four branches of engineering and at present we are having five branches. The aim of the institute is to enrich the present generations knowledge with the latest technologies and developments in various fields of engineering. Data Mining is a vast area, consisting of a number of research oriented areas. Ranging from machine learning, data warehousing. AI, Knowledge engineering, a huge no. of application exist. The faculties, researchers, and student find it difficult to choose a tool for their applications. It aims at introducing various open issues and tools in data mining. Weka is a collection of machine learning algorithms for data mining tasks. The algorithms can either be applied directly to a dataset or called from your own Java code. Weka contains tools for data pre-processing, classification, regression, clustering, association rules, and visualization. It is also well-suited for developing new machine learning schemes.
