Pastors Corner ~
FRATERNAL CORRECTION is the theme for todays readings. This is a sensitive issue that should always be handled in the right way, at the right time and place. This is also an obligation given to us as a sign of our concern for the good of erring brothers and sisters and the good of the whole Church. Always, the motivation for fraternal correction is love. This is sometimes called tough love. MARIAN DEVOTION We are happy and blessed to be visited by the International Pilgrim Image of our Lady of Fatima on September 19, 2011. Even if we sometimes say that images are all the same, there are still some special images of our Blessed Mother and our Lord, just like some of our own portraits that are more special than the rest. This image is said to be miraculous and many have experienced blessings through her. Definitely, deep faith in God is always the guarantee for our prayers to be heard, but the Mother of our Lord intercedes on our behalf and brings us closer to Jesus. THE MENS GROUPS, composed of the Mens Faith Group and the Mens Club, as well as other parishioners who do not formally belong to these two groups, have once again shown great love and concern for the parish in the recent Work Party (Saturday, Aug. 27th) and the work done for the school and the parish during the school summer vacation. We are happy to see signs of increasing interest in the Church from our men parishioners, aside from those who have been serving in different ministries for many years already. May God inspire more men to express their faith and love for God by embracing the tasks and ministries they do so well for the good of the Church.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Saturday, September 10th 8:45 am-3:30 pm, Daily Chapel
What does one actually do during Adoration? It means that you have some time alone with Jesus to pray your favorite prayers, read the Bible, contemplate acts of faith, hope, charity, thanksgiving, reparation, pray the rosary, or do any type of prayerful devotion that suits you before the Lord. You can just sit and say nothing, simply keeping Him company, just as you would with a dear friend. Take time from your busy schedule for a few precious minutes of quiet conversation with Our Lord.
