Muni Service Data Analyst


PHP 15000 - 18000 (National Capital Reg - Ortigas Center, Pasig City)

Responsibilities: The Municipal Service Data Group is devoted to maintaining the major data indexing backbone for DPCs products and services. These include integration of CUSIP data with DPCs proprietary data, collection and cross-indexing of major economic, demographic and other performance-related data feeds, and integration of these external data resources with DPCs proprietary content. These activities are essential to the distribution and access of essential disclosure information by the institutional municipal bond market. Sub-specialties of the Municipal Service Data Group include maintenance of large performance data resources related to various industry groups including hospitals, extended care facilities, electric utilities, colleges and universities, school districts, and housing, among others. The scope of the work DPI provides in this area covers (i) reviewing and classifying continuing disclosure filings that are to be processed through the regulatory clearinghouse, (ii) validating municipa data obligors in the database, (iii) analysis and coding of nonfinancial operating data, (iv) researching possible data build-out assignments and other market-related information, and (v) other operating data management assignments as required. Requirements: A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance, Economics or one of the related disciplines (i.e., Commerce, Management, Operations Research, or the equivalent);

Operational and functional knowledge of data management, and data collection and analysis; Basic knowledge of MS Access is a plus; Knowledge of the relational database model is an advantage; Extremely keen attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision; Logical thinker, organized, and methodical; Excellent command of standard American English, with the emphasis on critical reading comprehension skills and verbal communication.
