WHO IS UP CIEM

The University of the Philippines Circle of Industrial Engineering Majors (UP CIEM) is a duly recognized college-based organization in the College of Engineering of the University of the Philippines Diliman. It prides itself in continuously pursuing academic excellence, building opportunities as well as establishing a common ground between IE students. UP CIEM is composed of over 150 undergraduate students from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. It aims to establish rapport and camaraderie within the organization, as well as with other IE organizations inside and outside the University. It has a mission of exposing IE Students to the ideals of service, volunteerism and leadership by involving in important aspects of community development and other project ventures.

OUR PROPOSAL
Now on its sixth year, UP CIEM, together with the UP College of Engineering Department of Industrial Engineering Operations Research and Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE), brings IEshikawa 6: MiniMax (Minimizing Limits, Maximizing Perspectives). It is a series of seminars and workshops that puts together over 700 brilliant IE students all over Luzon. Industrial Engineering undergraduates all over Luzon. Now on its sixth year, IEshikawa 6, with the theme, "MiniMax: Minimizing Limits, Maximizing Perspectives" aims to enrich the IE students' knowledge and mindsets on Industrial Engineering as a course and as a career. Through talks from different Industrial Engineering professionals who excel on different fields of the different sectors of society, and workshops that emphasize the skills and tools that add to their competitive advantage, IEshikawa lends itself as an inspirational and motivational tool in promoting IE excellence directed towards the Filipino people.
IESHIKAWA 6 will be divided into the morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session will be composed of career/motivational talks to be delivered by various experts coming from various industries. The afternoon session will be composed of IE workshops from 1:30-4:00 and a competition. Participants shall be divided to their respective designation of activity.
