JayPhyte - Phytase Need for Phytase :

Availability of phosphorus in the feed is a key concern in poultry nutrition. Phosphorus availability from plant sources e.g. corn and soybean meal is limited to 30-40 percent. Phosphorous is present in plants mainly in a non available form of phytic acid as a complex of cations (Ca, Mg, Zn and K) and/or proteins. Poultry lacks sufficient amounts of endogenous phytase in the gastrointestinal tract to hydrolyze the phytate molecule and release the inorganic phosphorus. This necessitates adding expensive inorganic sources of phosphorus to satisfy dietary requirements which however results in excessive excretion of phosphorus in manure, posing an environmental concern which necessitates need for supplementing Phytase extraneously to the feed. JayPhyte is a phytase enzyme formulation produced by fermentation using Aspergillus spp.

Mode of Action ;
JayPhyte first attacks phytate at the 3 position in a reaction : myo - inositol hexakisphosphate + H 2 O D - myo -inositol 1,2,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate + orthophosphate.

JayComp - Cocktail Enzyme

The digestive system of poultry birds contains enzymes to digest proteins, carbohydrates, fats etc. The poultry feed contain ingredients from both Plant & Animal Origin , :

Plant Source :

Animal Source :

Corn, Maize, oat, rye, Bajra, rice, sorghum, Fish meal, meat meal, liver meal bone meal, bajra, Soya bean meal, etc. Fish meal, meat meal, liver meal bone meal, blood meal etc. Animal residues are easily digested by chicken; however, plant origin materials are not, due to lack of endogenous enzymes. A customized blend of enzymes helps to unlock valuable nutrients present in the residues.

These indigestible plant residues may be called as :

Non Starch Polysaccharides (NSP) : NSP covers a large class of polysaccharides excluding starch. Galactosides : These are short chain carbohydrates in which Galactose is cross linked to raffinose,
stachyose and verbascose.

Phytates : Poultry feed contains phosphorus in organic form as phytate phosphorus & non - phytate
phosphorus. The non - phytate phosphorus is easily available and well digested by the chicken. However, phytate phosphorus is not available due to lack of phytates in the intestine of the bird. Thus most of the organic phosphorous is passed undigested through faeces causing environmental pollution. Anti nutritional factors (ANFs) like Lectins, tannins, trypsin inhibitors etc.

Antinutritional effects of undigested residues : 1. Soluble NSPs :

a. Increase gut viscosity there by lowering digestion. b. To reduce internal secretion of water, proteins, electrolytes & lipids. c. Bind bile salts, lipids & cholesterol there by reducing digestion & absorption dynamics of gut. d. Increases retention time of digesta in intestine decreasing oxygen tension to favor growth of anaerobic toxic micro flora. All these interactions lead to poor feed conversion,Loose droppings and Chronic deficiencies in poultry.

2. Phytates :
Chelate minerals like Ca, Fe, Mg, starch, amino acids etc making them unavailable. Hence, extra
supplementation of inorganic phosphorous is needed to maintain the mineral level of minerals which in bird increases the feed cost.

3. Other ANFs :
a. Hamper digestion by interfering with endogenous enzymes in the digestive track. b. Inhibit action of trypsin, tannins, lectins etc

JayMycoBind - Mycotoxin Binder for poultry, and cattle feeds

Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites produced by pathogenic fungi in cereal grains and are estimated to affect as much as 25% of the world's grain crop each year. They are produced by fungi viz. - Aspergillus, Penicillium and Fusarium. Commonly occurring mycotoxins are aflatoxin, vomitoxin, ochratoxin. These are produced in cereal feed ingredients in hot & humid environmental conditions. The presence of mycotoxins in feed decreases feed intake and affects animal performance. Further their occurrence in edible animal products - milk, meat and eggs may have detrimental effects on human health. Fungal contamination affects both the organoleptic characteristics and the nutritional value of feeds and entails a risk of toxicosis. Their toxicity depends on several factors e.g. amount ingested, duration of exposure and animal sensitivity. They may be carcinogenic, teratogenic, immunosuppressiv , hemorrhagic, hepatotoxic, nephrotoxic and neurotoxic. Controlling mould growth and mycotoxin production is very important to the feed manufacturer and livestock producer.

JayLiv - Liver tonic for poultry

Liver is the main site of lipid biosynthesis and is particularly very active in Poultry birds. Yolk lipids and proteins are secreted as lipoproteins under the influence of estrogen in the liver. When hepatic lipogenesis exceeds the capacity of fat transport, lipoproteins, triacylglycerols commence to accumulate in the liver, leading to fatty liver syndrome. Fatty liver syndrome is an important metabolic disorder in laying flocks / brolilers after they reach peak growth. Typical pathological symptoms are pale enlarged liver, exhibiting extreme infiltration of fat and hemorrhages. This retards transportation of triacylglycerols from liver to the developing oocyte. Due to liver disorder, the efficiency of detoxification process slows down resulting in low productivity, frequent disease outbreak and poor FCR in broiler, layer or breeder.

What is JayLiv ?
JayLiv is a combination of lipotropic agents, liver stimulants, toxin binders, mould inhibitors, antioxidants that effectively improve liver function thus ensuring better feed utilization and improved productivity. The ingredients in JayLiv perform multifarious actions, viz; liver cell rejuvenating, hepato - stimulative, hepatoprotective, antihepatotoxic, positive anabolic effect & tone up the liver of poultry birds for best performance/ productivity. JayLiv also exerts beneficial effect on the functioning of spleen, kidney & gall bladder.

JayCid - Composite feed Acidifier for Animal Husbandary :

The utilization of nutrients in the feed is complete only when it is fully digested and absorbed by the intestinal cells. This process depends on the prevailing gut environment in the bird. The gut environment is generally regulated by pH and intestinal micro flora. The intestinal micro flora is largely composed of both gram positive bacteria and nteropathogens ( gram negative bacteria ) acting in a delicate balance at an ideal pH range. In healthy condition, predominance of gram positive bacteria help keeping the intestinal environment favorable for digestion and absorption of nutrients. When this balance shift to more of gram negative bacteria, the pathogen start taking the upper hand and cause diseases. A diseased or unhealthy intestine cannot absorb nutrients fully apart from causing clinical syndromes. Thus it is essential to keep the intestinal environment healthy. Research over the years at Jay Biotech has led to development of specialty chemicals, organic acids and their preparations to reduce the pH of the gut .

JayCid , - A proprietary formulation is targeted to reduce the gut pH and for suppressing enteric pathogens. Use of
JayCid significantly help in improving the performance of all species.

What is JayCid ?
JayCid is a unique acidifier that reduces the pH value of the gut and maintain favourable conditions throughout the gastro intestinal track, thus helping digestion of nutrients more effectively .JayCid is an proprietary combination of selected organic acids, beta glucan, Mannan Oligosaccharides and organic acid treated base. It promotes growth, improves feed efficiency and controls enteropathogens. Its use helps improve the growth of Lactobacillus spp. and other beneficial organisms in the gastro intestinal track

Mechanism of Action of JayCid :

The antimicrobial activity of organic acids present in JayCid is related to reduction in pH and their ability to dissociate. which is determined by the pKa value of particular acid and the pH of the surrounding environment. The organic acids are lipid soluble in undissociated form. The more the number of undissociated form of organic acids, better will be the efficacy. Hence, the selection of organic acid is very critical in determining the efficacy of the product.

Steps Involved :
First , the undissociated form of the organic acid penetrates into the cell membrane The acid dissociates inside the bacterial cell. The H+ (proton) decreases pH value of the cell. The bacteria use its energy trying to remove the protons and dies eventually Anions of organic acids deactivate RNA transferase enzyme, which damage nucleic acid multiplication process eventually resulting in death of the organism.

Benefits :
Control of pathogenic organisms such as Salmonella spp. and E.coli in feed and effectively control their presence in gastrointestinal tract. Assist pH Modulation of the Stomach. Acidification favors growth of Acidophilic bacterial flora that prevents growth of pathogens. Improvement of weight gain and FCR. Reduces Diarrhoea Sanitizes feed thus increasing its storage time. Provides clean environment and healthy production

Advantage using JayCid :

A perfect blend of organic acids offers lower dosage with increased efficiency. Safe and progressive intestinal acidification reduces the risk of enterotoxaemia. Less irritation to eyes and other organs
