Blindness of the Heart

Ephesians 4:17-18 This I say therefore, and testify in the

Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in
the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding
darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the
ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their
heart:

Mathew 15:10-20 And he called the multitude, and said

unto them, Hear, and understand: 11 Not that which goeth
into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of
the mouth, this defileth a man. 12 Then came his disciples,
and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were
offended, after they heard this saying? 13 But he answered
and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not
planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let them alone: they be blind
leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall
fall into the ditch. 15 Then answered Peter and said unto him,
Declare unto us this parable. 16 And Jesus said, Are ye also
yet without understanding? 17 Do not ye yet understand,
that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the
belly, and is cast out into the draught? 18 But those things
which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart;
and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil
thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false
witness, blasphemies: 20 These are the things which defile a
man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Revelations 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and

increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and
knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor,
and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold
tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment,
that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy
nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with
eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

2 Peter 1:5-9 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to

your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to
knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to
patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in
you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be
barrenc nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus
Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot
see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his
old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to
make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things,
ye shall never fall:
