Thissuggestedoperativeness/entryintoeffectclause,liketheoneinthebulletimmediatelyprecedingit,isfrequentlyusedinadvance paymentandretentionmoneyguarantees.Inbothcases,theclauseensuresthattheguaranteeisnotavailablefordrawdownbeforethe amountduebythebeneficiaryundertheunderlyingcontractispaidtotheapplicant.Therearetwowaystodraftthisclause.Thefirstone, reflectedinthefirstbullet,istoconsidertheguaranteeoperativeonlywhentheamountiseffectivelycreditedtotheapplicantsaccount.
