At Caracal, we are strongly committed to innovation through advanced design
concepts and high precision manufacturing. Caracal develops superior products
specifically designed to incorporate sophisticated technological features, utilising
the highest quality materials and processes, as well as sourcing and selecting
best of class suppliers. In order to deliver products of the highest quality, precision
measurement devices and assembly tools are used in every stage of the production
process, providing the assurance of minimised defects and minimal human error.

Additionally, several new patents registered to and developed by Caracal demonstrate

the company’s clear commitment to bringing significant benefits to the international
user community. Caracal products will continue to be fully supported as they serve
the basis of the future small arms industry and defence technology.
THE COMPANY Caracal was conceived from a ‘Small Arms Project’ - a bold initiative
founded in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in late 2002.
Driven by strong beliefs in its concepts and benefits, the ‘Caracal
Project’ was developed and led by a team of experts working in
conjunction with the UAE Armed Forces.
Following extensive research, the development of the Caracal pistol series and accessories
was completed. Subsequently, the pistol has successfully passed comprehensive
independent testing by WTD91 (Meppen, Germany) and was certified in May 2006.
By the end of 2006, Caracal International LLC was incorporated and registered as a
company in Abu Dhabi. With that, the foundation of a highly advanced pistol manufacturing
industry was established for the first time in the GCC. Caracal was officially launched in
February 2007 at the prestigious IDEX 2007 in Abu Dhabi.

DESIGN TEAM LEADER
All Caracal pistols and accessory products were designed and developed by the Caracal
Research & Development team, lead by Mr. Wilhelm Bubits. Mr. Bubits is recognised as
a successful European handgun designer with extensive creativity and experience, and
unparalleled understanding in the field of pistol technology. To date, more than 10 individual
patents have been registered internationally, asserting Caracal’s intellectual property rights
in bringing breakthrough concepts and solutions to the small arms industry and defence
technology.

 Caracal’s design rationale was to create a technologically advanced, market leading pistol,
that is also economical and user friendly. The aim was to substantially improve on existing

designs and technologies to create a safer, more accurate and versatile, combat effective
pistol series, that offered a multitude of operational advantages to the purchaser and
end user alike.

The Caracal team seized the opportunity to design the ultimate pistol and laid the
appropriate platform in place. As a result, Caracal has created quality manufacturing
systems that incorporate the extensive use of measurement devices, ensuring that all
pistol parts are continuously checked at every stage throughout production. In addition,
automated assembly machines and tools are utilised to reduce the margin of human error
and offer the assurance of best quality.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

Caracal’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities have been

designed to offer the highest standards of production in accordance
with internationally recognised best standards.

manufacturing process.

HIGH QUALITY MANUFACTURING ENSURES

RELIABILITY AND DURABILITY
MADE IN THE UAE Major components of the Caracal pistols, such as the slide, barrel and synthetic material CERTIFICATION
parts are manufactured at Caracal’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Abu Dhabi,
UAE. Smaller components such as sheet metal parts, springs and metal injection moulding
(MIM) parts are sourced from reputable European suppliers. All parts are surface treated.
Final assembly is carried out at the Caracal assembly plant and stringent quality control
checks are applied at all stages, including proof testing prior to despatch.

The Caracal F pistol is the first product of the Caracal pistol series
to undergo rigorous and exacting industry testing procedures.
Independent testing was conducted by WTD91.

The WTD91 confirms that the Caracal F pistol has passed the tests
commensurable to the test requirements of the following:

- The ‘Technical Guidelines for a Police Pistol’

( Technische Richtlinie Polizei [TR Polizei] )
- D14 NATO testing regulations
- The Technical Terms of Delivery for pistols to the German Forces
(TL 1005-0098)
