Etherstack has a wide range of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) protocol stack products. These highly portable waveforms can be deployed in a large variety of operating system and hardware architectures, including the Software Communications Architecture (SCA). Etherstack has been supplying COTS waveform products to manufacturers around the globe for ten years - and our software can be found in wireless equipment (such as hand held radios and base stations) from London, to Shanghai, to Washington DC.

MOVING YOUR WIRELESS PRODUCTS TO THE NEXT GENERATION?

(QoS) support. Starting with 16QAM modulation for the 25kHz and 50kHz bandwidths, our solution will be extended to higher QAM orders and ultimately higher bandwidths. Built from Layer 1 up, our UMTS solution includes support for 16QAM HSDPA and CDMA/TDD (UMTS-TDD), rake detection for multi-path fade mitigation, and advanced turbo decoding algorithms. HSDPA is emerging as one of the most widespread and successful commercial cellular 3.5G high speed data formats, while UMTS-TDD has been used in a number of key deployments around the world and allows effective use of leftover unpaired 5MHz spectrum. Etherstack has invested in these current technologies with a clear migration path forward towards LTE and broadband OFDM/OFDMA.

- WiMAX
As demand for mobile data applications matures, Etherstack is offering subscriber-side software for key prospective wideband and broadband data standards. Etherstacks engineers specialize in embedded wireless protocol design, from application level down to next-generation Layer 1 digital modulation, channel access, MIMO and time-space / diversity techniques. Our WiMAX technology includes Mobile WiMAX (IEEE802.16e-2005) PHY and MAC components with Quality of Service (QoS) support, multiple and scalable OFDM/OFDMA based modulation formats and advanced Forward Error Correction (FEC) - including turbo decoding. Authentication and Encryption are also offered for secure communication down to link level.

-TEDS
The majority of the worlds police and security services use ETSI TETRA compliant equipment for wireless mobile communication. In step with the requirements of this market, Etherstack is supplementing our popular, eld-proven off-the-shelf TETRA Release 1 protocol waveform (Layer 1-3 plus Application) with TETRA Enhanced Data Service (TEDS). TEDS is a technically-proven, spectrally-efcient integrated narrowband voice + high speed data service that is scalable to wideband and ultimately broadband rates. Etherstacks TEDS solution is backwards compatible with existing TETRA equipment and includes link adaptation, advanced turbo coding and full Quality of Service

- UMTS
While UMTS continues its global growth, mobile wireless data networks based on 3GPP ETSI standards are increasingly being chosen for both traditional commercial cellular and PMR use. For swift entry to this international market, Etherstack offers Mobile/Handheld UMTS air interface protocol software geared to 3.5G wideband and ultimately 4G broadband data service.
