Case1: Activity Association Template defined after Asset, Activity and Asset Number. Result: Activity Association template will not default in the Asset Number Associate Activity form. This is the functionality. 1.Define Set Name NAV: Preventive Maintenance > Set Name Definition

2.Define Asset Group NAV: Assets > Asset Group

3.Define M/C Mainte Department. NAV: Setup > Routing > Department

4.Define resource NAV: Setup > Routing Resource

5. Define Area NAV: Setup > Area

6. Define Asset Number NAV: Assets > Asset Number > Asset Numbers

7. Define Activity NAV: Activities > Master Activities

Under Asset Management tab

Assign to EM1

8. Assign Resource to Department NAV: Setup > Routing > Department Query the Department M/C Mainte and click on Resources

9. Define Maintenance Routing Sequence of Operation is called Routing NAV: Activities > Maintenance Routing

Under Description enter the detailed operation

Save and Close.

10. Define Service Items NAV: Inventory > Item > Master Item

Assign to Org EM1

10. Define Maintenance BOM NAV: Activities > Maintenance BOM

11. Define Activity Association template NAV: Activities > Activity Association Template Query for the Activity

Under Main TAB Select our Asset Group

Under Work Order Default Check all the info are correct.

Save and Close the form. 12. Query for Asset Serial Number NAV: Assets > Asset Numbers > Asset Numbers Query for the Asset Number {CNC M/C Maintenance} and click on Associate Activity. Nothing will Default.

Create another Asset Number { CNC M/C Maintenance1} and Click on Associate Activity. Now the Activity has defaulted.

3. Define Activity Association Template NAV: Activities > Activity Association Template

Under main TAB attach the Asset Group

Under Work Order Details TAB check whether all other info is attached.

4. Define Asset Number NAV: Asset > Asset Number > Asset Numbers

Now click on Associate Activity. We can see that the Activity is defaulting from Activity Association Template defained.

Creation of a Work Request : Login to Maintenance Super User Workbench. Select the EAM Organization to work on. Click on the work Request tab. Click on the button Create Work Request. Click on Apply.

Approving a Work Request. Note : If the Auto Approve check box in EAM Organization parameters is selected, Work Requests are created with an Awaiting Work Order status. If the check box is not selected, Work Requests are created with an Open status. Select Awaiting Work order Status.

Linking a Work Order to a Work Request. Create a Work Order . and link the work order to the work request

Click on Create Work Order Fill all details Asset Number, Request Number, Asset Activity, Work Order Type and Priority and click on Apply.

Query with the Work Order number WO246419 with approval status null.

Click on Work Order and open it in a new TAB

Under the Operations TAB see what are all the operations attached.
